Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has done well in its second weekend at the box office. The Hindi version of the film has collected Rs 193 crore so far in 11 days. It should cross the 200 crore mark by the end of its second week.
The film has found appreciation among the family audience in smaller cities and towns, which has ensured decent growth in business on Saturday and Sunday.
Tamasha releases in theatres this weekend, but that film is unlikely to affect the business of PRDP at centres where it’s performing well. The Salman Khan starrer should finish with lifetime business of around Rs 220 crore.

See, I don’t have any issue with that. Every fan expects huge opening and lifetime collection from his star and he/she predicts accordingly. But then, before making fun of someone lese, just note that box-office doesn’t dance on anyone’s beat and it takes no time to change the situation drastically. Your idol is a perfect example of that. Compare two phases of his career : 2004-2009 and 2010-2015. You will get the answer.

All media, all the websites including indicine and they post millions of articles related to him even if its not import and gave him the name king. So how is hr most targeted. But what I believe is that aamir is the most targeted actor because most of the media are against him and always try to write him off. With over 195 crore already achieved, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is now on its way to enter the 200 Crore Club. Of course during the course of its making, and especially after the 300 Crore Club entry of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, many felt that Salman Khan would earn a back-to-back 300 crore entry.
Considering the fact that he has been giving one Blockbuster after another (Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick being the one before Kabir Khan’s India-Pakistan tale), everyone looked at Sooraj Barjatya to deliver one as well.
Well, the records were set right at the beginning, and that ensured up good enough platform for the film to enter into the safety zone right away. Collections since then have assured a Hit status for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and while many other filmmakers would indeed fight tooth and nail to accomplish even half of such numbers, the fact remains that everyone connected to Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has gone all the way to the bank.

Landing cost of the film (minus Salman Khan’s fees): 105-110 crore (Making: ~85 crore, P&A: ~20 crore)
Salman Khan’s fee – Satellite deal (40-45 crore)
Music deal – 15-17 crore
India theatrical revenue (expected) – ~100 crore (Considering 200 crore+ nett total)
Overseas theatrical revenue (expected) – ~60 crore (Considering $18-20 M total)
Total theatrical revenue (expected) – ~160 crore
Profits (which would be shared between Rajshri and Fox – 50 crore+ (exclusive of music)
This has ensured a profit of ~50% for the makers. In a year where there have been hardly any profits for most involved, the Box Office verdict of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is easily that of being a solid Hit.
It is an awesome film, specially second half and very nice ending
