Like we mentioned in the report earlier today (click to read), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has collected around 29.5 crore at the box office, with the collections including all versions set to be around the 30 crore mark.
The film did show signs of a significant drop in the morning, especially multiplex dominated areas like Delhi NCR, but the film quickly recovered ground towards the end of the day as it managed almost similar collections as Friday.
Basically, the spike that multiplex business gets on Saturday night, made up for the holiday in parts of the country for Bhai Dooj on Friday.
In circuits like Mysore there was noticeable drops at a few centres. Mumbai circuit too hasn’t trended as well at it should, but the film was super-strong in Gujarat on Day 3.
The collections from all versions (including Telugu and Tamil) for the first two days was around Rs 73.5 crore and the Saturday business will take the net box office collections of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo to Rs 103-104 crore.
So after a bumper opening on Thursday, PRDP had a solid hold on Friday and was steady at the box office on Saturday too. The trend most certainly isn’t close to as good as Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which went from strength-to-strength over the weekend.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is heading for a 125 crore nett plus extended weekend as the film comes through well on Saturday. The film grossed around 28 crore nett on Saturday which takes the business of the film to 96 crore nett and the film should go over the 30 crore nett mark on Sunday for a four day total somewhere in the range of 125-130 crore nett.
The collections on Saturday have dropped a little compared to Friday but it is a minimal drop and the problem would have been if the drop was in the 10% plus range as then it would have been towards 25 crore nett making a 30 crore nett Sunday difficult and weak trend.
The trend at the moment is good but solid growth on Saturday would have made it an excellent trend and a sure shot for a very big number. The business so far has ensured a HIT and now it will be Monday that will tell what sort of final number the film can go to. The dubbed Tamil and Telegu versions have turned out to be a bit of fiasco as three days will just about cross 1.50 crore nett. The collections were expected to be low as only action films can do a little bit version when dubbed but still not this low.

I feel trending is good better than HNY. 32 cr plus on Sunday will give the movie much required impetus. Still its very difficult to predict lifetime of PRDP. I hope it crosses 250 cr.

I know this is off topic but I finally watched pyaar ka punchnama 2 and the movie was hilarious, better than welcome back , kkpk and many other bollywood entertainers of this year . Definitely best comedy movie of this year

Collections are very good up till now..this film is having an added advantage of one more extra day in its weekend giving it an extended 4 day weekend at the box office..this one day whether it is a holiday or not matters a lot because it comes under the weekend where star power is a bigger driving force than any other factor and the kind of star power salman Khan has we can say that these collections are largely because of him..collections on Monday will give us a clear picture..even if the word of mouth is same as Happy new year still the film will cross the lifetime collections of happy new year by the end of its run because of the huge extra day in its first weekend..if the word of mouth turns out to be poor then it will be touch and go and if the word of mouth is on the positive side then it can emerge a huge hit and for that it needs to drop less than 60% of its opening day on Monday..

Again proven Salman has no script sense at all. Most his films are bashed by critics (Bajrangi being an exception). Even his own production movie Hero was so bad and he kept on saying I have given great debut to youngsters, after Hrithik no star has got a good debut and all that shit. He has 0 IQ of good cinema. His films may collect crores but none is memorable. You cant watch Bodyguard, Dabang2, Kick, TIger more than once. No classic cinema. Even Bajrangi credit is more to Kabir not salman.
He is still nothing in terms of an actor. Just playing himself everytime. Never plays a character. He doesn’t deserve the success and fans he has got. And hopefully the rise that started from dabang should now end with prdp and the big fall should begin. Hope to see him behind bars as well. Criminal.

135 cr are on the cards. Monday collections will decide the film’s fate. anything between 16-20 cr will be excellent as wom is positive from family audience and mixed from younger audience. Anything less than that would surely means 200-220, exactly what i have said means 250 cr and above that 270-280cr. Also critics and youngster have not always been supportive of family dramas which is not a good thing. They call it boring, dude these films represent our culture and traditions. hahk was a family drama. it became the highest grosser ofall time. These films have their own charm so better respect them. If you dont want to watch them so better avoid but dont spread negative things about the film
