Karan Johar, who will co-produce Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actress Alia Bhatt’s upcoming untitled film, says the pre-production of the highly anticipated project is going on in full steam.
While there were reports stating that the Gauri Shinde-directorial might get shelved due to creative differences between the makers, Karan has denied such rumours stating that the principal photography of the movie will commence from middle of January.
Karan, who will be co-producing the film under his Dharma Productions banner along with Hope Productions and Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment, took to Twitter on Tuesday to share the news with his fans.
“@gauris film with @iamsrk and @aliaa08 commences principal photography middle of January! Pre production is on full steam now! Exciting,” Karan tweeted.

Shah Rukh Khan Officially Confirms that he is in talks with Imtiaz Ali and Aanand L. Rai and two other big directors for his upcoming films in 2016 -2017.
In an interview to a leading website, Shah Rukh Khan on being asked as to how difficult is it to shift from one character to another at the age of 50, the superstar said,
“It has not been emotionally draining because I am a professional actor and I enjoy acting in new projects. But now I will now try and do a film in one go. In January I will finish Raees — 20 days of shooting are left because my injury delayed the shoot. Then I have Gauri Shinde’s film and I am in talks with Imitaz Ali, Anand Rai and two more directors.”
