Salman Khan has said, his Diwali 2015 release ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, which marked his reunion with director Sooraj Barjatya, should have performed better than the biggest grosser of his career ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.
Hinting that he probably expected the film to perform better than it did, Salman said he wished Sooraj got more happiness from PRDP.
“Sooraj should have got more happiness from ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. I think it should have done better than ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ for Sooraj because he worked really hard. It was a beautiful story of a brother-sister” Salman said on the sidelines of the Zee Cine Awards.
Released in November last year, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo collected Rs 210 crore at the domestic box office. His Eid release, Bajrangi Bhaijaan went on to be the second highest grosser of all time, amassing Rs 321 crore from India alone.
PRDP also featured Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Swara Bhaskar. It was Sooraj and Salman’s first film in 16 years and their 4th film together after Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Hum Saath Saath Hain.

Eg : -1) Don 2 Budget – 110 crs Collection – 105 ( I don’t believe on indicine bcz they could do any thing to show SRK on top, eg… Ready’ collection was 125 crs but indicine show below 120 to show Ra.One above it and also with manipulation. and now they are showing Don 2’s collection more than Jai Ho)
2) Ra.One Budget – 130-140 crs Collection – 116 crs.
Just Like Srk on Dilwale, Suleman too disappointed with PRDP,Hero,and Jai Ho collection

Bhai’s PRDP collected over 210cr but I.e shameful for you. And queen’s excusewale failed to touch even 150cr but I.e proud moment for you loongiwalas. Lagta hai tum loongiwalas sochte ho ki 145cr>>>>>210cr….LOL.

Yeah PRDP should have done some 50-60 crores more business than it actually did.
But keeping the brotherly emotional attachment of Salman with Sooraj aside, PRDP is not better than BB because it too long and shallow in plot of the story..
Less comedies, less suspenses..
Other than that it is a sincere, beautiful n clean film based on Indian values..

Salman has lost clashes or his films didnt do well in clashes when his films were not doing well even in solo releases. That is during the lowest phase of his professional career due to personal issues affecting his career.
Now time has changed Beta. Dont live in the past or in a dream world…
Your king with the supports of many stars and a blockbuster director failed to Ranveer whose earlier films were great successes except for Ram Leela & BBB.
This man gave a blockbuster that grossed 321 just 4 months before prdp
Prdp still did more than 200 and he feels it underperformed because of Sooraj !!
