Rumours have been doing the rounds that Prabhu Deva’s upcoming film ‘Singh Is Bling’ starring Akshay Kumar in the lead, has been postponed indefinitely. After the failure of Action Jackson, the director returned to Chennai to spend time with his family and has tried to avoid media interactions.
However, with the media and trade openly talking about the uncertainty over ‘Singh Is Bling’, the director rubbished rumours of the film being shelved.
“These are false reports planted to make it seem that the failure of ‘Action Jackson’ has had a snowballing effect on my career. It is done to every director, who fails with a particular subject. The fact is, the lukewarm response to ‘Action Jackson’ has not affected our next film (Singh Is Bling) at all. Akshay is very excited about the film, and so am I. It’s being designed as a full-on comedy”

Talking about the industry’s ‘concern’ about his future, the director says it’s normal to pull a filmmaker down after a failure.
“As for the failure of my last film, the industry seems very concerned about my future. I am not. Isn’t it normal to pull down a filmmaker after failure? When all my films were doing well, I did not speak about my success because I knew one flop would change the perception. When I didn’t think about my success, why should I be bothered about my failure?”
Starring Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon, Singh Is Bling was scheduled to release in theatres on October 2 2015. The first look poster of the film was released last year.
Akshay doesn’t care. As far as d money is entering his pockets he is going to give 100% dedication!

Except wanted I didn’t find any of his movies entertaining.RowdyRathore was just average and RR was pathetic.Haven’t seen Aj.But Singh is Bling would be his real test since he needs to give at least one original blockbuster.Since it’s a comedy movie with Akshay in lead it chances of becoming a success.
I hope for Akki’s sake he doesn’t do Singh Is Bling.. it looks like a sure shot disaster. Prabhu Deva is the next Sajid Khan.. His films are too regressive and over the top.. The multiplex audience has dont want to watch such films.. so in the end only the distributors and producers will suffer. Akki and Prabhu Deva will take home crores.

Really waiting for this movie.But afrraid of that mr. prabhu veva is gping to direct this one.I mean sing is king was superbb!! but prabhu deva!!!??? he is definitely a good dancer and with that definitely the worst film director!!!
Akki hve 3 Action movies dis year . nd SIB iz A comedy venture .So it’s a gud decision By Akki . really Excited !! film Will be Different nd it will hve foreign locations so Don’t Comparreit with AJ or RR kind of masala movies.
The landing cost of singh is bling is 85 cr. Which was produced by Pen movies. But after seeing the performance of last few movies of Akshay and Parvu Deva’s disaster Action Jaction. Pen Movies suffered a cold feet to spend a fortune on akshay and deva. Same thing happen with Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay. Hopefully both of them will find some glamour seeking moneybag produces and start there project.

as an akki fan i am not looking forward to this film i hope it gets cancelled if not then it will be flop.. akki should start doing less films now and with good directors and should lower his fee to 5 crores or less so that his movies doesn’t really have to struggle that much to be successful at boxoffice.
