The Film Script Writer Salim Khan got The National Kishore Kumar Award for the year of 2011-2012.Salim Khan was in Khandwa to receive the Award declared by the Madhya Pradesh Government.
The award carries a citation and Rs two lakh in cash and was to be presented to him at a function on the occasion of the death anniversary of music legend Kishore Kumar.
Talking about Kishore Kumar,Salim Khan described that nobody will be able to replicate him and to achieve the height that Kishore Kumar achieved .
Salim Khan,the father of Salman Khan, was born at Indore on November 24, 1935, been writer and co-writer of many hit Hindi films including Sholey, Andaz, Hathi Mere Sathi, Sita Aur Gita, Yadon Ki Baraat, Zanjeer, Majboor, Deewar, Chacha-Bhatija, Don, Trishul, Kala Pathar, Dostana, Shan, Kranti, Shakti and Zamana and many other films.
@salwoman. Buddy, salman has no off beat movies as bb as of now but he may have it in future. Srk’s Chak de india was a sports movie based on patriotism and it was one of the best sport-centric movies ever made in india along with lagaan. chak de was too good a movie for any big actor to make it a bb and at that time srk was the biggest but had aamir done chak de instead of srk it would have had become a bb as well and could have had made it to an oscar nomination like lagaan. Even salman,hrithik,akki & ajay could have made that movie atleast a superhit because the movie itself was so good.

@salwoman. Ok frankly, Yes, salman would/could have had played ‘kabir khan’ well but may be not comparatively as good as srk but aamir would/could have had played kabir khan better than srk. For me, The only 3 movies in which srk acted convincingly (natural,realistic,ideally suited and with no unnecessary overacting) and as a ‘movie’s character’ rather than as ‘srk’ in his movies were swades,chak de and pardes(one of my all time favourite hindi movie). Though he was outstanding in some movies like baazigar, koyla,don, mnik etc he just couldnt stop overacting at times unnecessarily and that/this particular overacting of srk coupled with his attitude, his histrionic antics,his mannerisms,his idiosyncrary, his body language and more importantly his personal character on a whole irritates me and millions of others intensely. it’s not that only srk overacts, indeed almost all the actors overact but for me and for millions of other “SRK-ALLERGICS” there couldnt be any bigger “IRRITANT” than SRK.

For your explanation, India equals approximately 1 Billion population, Rest of the world equals approximately 6 Billion population. Now tell me, where do you think one will be more famous as a star. Hahaha, you speak about SRK being most hated, well its pretty understandable if I say this quote, “Men In Power Have More Enemies Than Friends” ;P and besides, every actor has his/her lovers and haters.
However, I refuse to believe that SRK is the most hated actor in India, who knows, you might be saying it off another incorrect source :D:P . .
We all, inside, know that JTHJ is actually going to be a bigger hit, keep denying.
True, I might not know about India, you’d know better, but I know much more about overseas than you, and trust me, even non-indians know SRK well. Ask them about Salman, Ajay, Aamir and they’ll be like “who’s that?” Doesn’t this tell you who’s a bigger star, who’s known well worldwide.
I respect Hrithik, Aamir, even Salman, since I don’t have a cheap mind to hate someone without personal reasons, which I believe India is famous for, however I love SRK. And since Salman has started these senseless masala entertainers, he’s lost the few loyal fans he had overseas who overlooked his flop installments. :)
