Aamir Khan’s PK is on a historic run at the overseas box office, what with the film matching the business generated by Dhoom 3 and at places even beating the collections of the 2013 Christmas release.
The PK wave is so huge that it has beaten the lifetime overseas collections in just 2 days. It has also gone past the collections of decent overseas grossers like 2 States and Holiday: A Solider Is Never Off Duty.
By the end of its first weekend, PK could beat the overseas collections of other Aamir films like Talaash ($9 million), Ghajini ($7.75 million) and Fanaa ($7.1 million). PK is already Aamir’s 6th highest overseas grosser and we are talking about just 2 days of business – with several centres yet to be reported.
Aamir has well and truly emerged as the biggest draw in the international markets. It remains to be seen if PK can beat the 1st (Dhoom 3) and 2nd (3 Idiots) highest overseas grossers of all time.

PK has broken Dhoom 3s opening weekend record in the USA/ Canada market…! Amazing feat consideing Dhoom brand belongs to Hrithik but minus the brand Aamir still broke this record. Wiki state Dhoom 3s record at $3,423,508 and PK according to BoxOfficeMojo has collected (its estimate from 272 screens) $3,461,000
