With less than 2 days to go for the theatrical trailer of ‘PIKU’, the makers of the film have released a few promotional movie stills. Dressed in traditional Indian wear, Deepika Padukone looks beautiful in the new stills. Amitabh Bachchan, who plays Deepika’s father, is seen in one of the stills (2nd picture).
Piku, directed by Shoojit Sircar of ‘Vicky Donor’ and ‘Madras Cafe’, will be distributed by Yash Raj Films. The film, which is about a father-daughter relationship, also stars Irrfan Khan, Moushumi Chatterjee, Jishu Sengupta and Akshay Oberoi.
Piku releases in theatres on May 8, a week after Akshay Kumar’s Gabbar Is Back and a week before Ranbir Kapoor’s Bombay Velvet.

Film looks super good. Great cast, but I just feel, the release date seems out of place. Releasing it after Bombay Velvet should be ideal.
