After Shahrukh Khan (Kolkata Knight Riders) and Preity Zinta (Kings XI Punjab) its Shilpa Shetty’s turn to enter the Indian Premiere League scene. The actress whose career has been at an all time high every since she won Big Brother, has purchased 12% stakes in Rajasthan Royals, a team under the guidance of cricketing legend Shane Warne went on to win the First Season of the IPL.
The value of the team which was bought by Emerging Media for 67 million dollars last year, has gone upto 140 million dollar. The 12% stake bought by Shilpa Shetty and her boy friend Raj Kundra amounts to about 16.8 million dollars (Rs 81 crores).
Shilpa plans to add glamour to the talented outfit of players consisting of Shane Warne, Graeme Smith, Shane Watson and Yusuf Pathan. There is also a Music Video planned in which Shilpa will be seen shaking a leg with the cricketers.
