Sanjay Leela Bhansali has announced his next film ‘Padmavati’. The announcement has confirmed the much-rumoured cast of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.
Since the film was earlier announced for the week before Christmas in 2017, we reached out to the makers of the film to reconfirm the release date. The film will indeed release on the previously announced date of 15th December 2017.
Salman Khan’s next film with Yash Raj Films, Tiger Zinda Hai, which is a sequel to the 2012 film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, will release during Christmas (22nd December 2017).
Bhansali has previously directed films like Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, Black and Ram Leela. His last film, Bajirao Mastani, was his biggest grosser to date.
Padmavati will also be the third consecutive outing for the trio of Bhansali, Deepika and Ranveer. Both their previous films have been successful at the box office.
Eros International has backed out of Padmavati, the film will be presented under the Viacom 18 banner.
Acc. 2 me ,Bajirao mstani was the most overrated film of 2016.
Ranveer’s role is better than shahid but if shahid gets more appreciation than ranveer ,then manna padega shahid ko.
Finally ,Shahid has the chance 2 cross 100 crores.
While SLB-Deepika-Ranveer jodi us too repititive .
This film is a big risk as budget is very high and releasing 1 week before tzh ,but it can also dent TZH collection if it really turns out 2 be a masterpiece.
The story of padmavati is a tragedy, it may appeal to masses n classes alike if directed well… Bhasali’s grandeur of sets can’t only save the film there must be content too as in history it’s not a very celebrated story, there are many others even more interesting than Padmavati like Rani Roopmati n baaz bahadur, Razia Sultan n Yaqut, etc. Let’s see

If Befikre and Rangoon become decent hits then SLB will not move but if these movies don’t do well then he may move from the date. It also depends on the box office collections of Tubelight.

this movie is backed by good script,director,artists,festive release date the only problem is clash but if TZH turned out to be average then this movie will change the game and will affect tzh. it will not cross tzh as salman is there but it will give hard dent to it for sure. and padmavati also can be 200 crore despite clash if wom & reviews like BM. if kabir khan was director of tzh then there was no chance of sustaining but ali abbas is directing it so padmavati has chance but the only thing they need to get is best product in there hand. people will automatically watch it. like bahubali,tjb,pink etc

Salman is a Tiger in real life as well, he will prefer facing the clash and lose rather than running away like a certain Global queen, it was Miyaan bhai who showed no daring and ran away from Eid 2016. Though you can chant ‘Bhaag Tiger bhaag’ in dreams but not in reality it not gonna happen !!!!!!!!!!!!

SRK was only biggest star to ran away from clash without facing it. Both Aamir and Salman had faced clashes (even during their low phases) and lost with dignity instead of running away like a bhagodi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One thing is sure Padmavati will lose a big chunk of screens in week 2. It needs TZH to do poor to regain the lost screens. However many people here are forgetting most important thing that is Christmas is biggest weekend of the year with lots of holidays. If both movies are good then both can do fair however TZH opening will help it create the difference between both the movies. I am glas SLB is not releasing the movie on same day as TZH which is sensible decision. All the best to both the movies !!!!!!!!!!!
Some SRK fans are wishing SLB to thrash Salman, idiots does not know that SLB himself does not want to clash with TZH hence he is releasing his movie a week before TZH instead of taking it on. Every knows they cannot clash with Salman or take on him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If both movies does well then we can have a total of 375 crs to 400 crs (combined collections of both) for the first time.

This is a master stroke. Open a week ahead of TZH and receive as good reviews as possible like BHAJIRAO MASTANI and get to 200 Cr and choke TZH collection to DILWALE level of 149 Cr.
SLB has learned from his past mistakes and building on it from the lessons he learned with BM-DILWALE clash.
