Akshay Kumar’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again, the first film announced for the lucrative EID weekend, has been postponed by a week. The sequel will now release on Independence Day.
It was producer Ekta Kapoor’s decision to postpone OUATIMA, as two major releases on the same day could eat into each other’s business.
A source close to the film says “The move to postpone Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again will prove to be immensely beneficial for the film. Not only has a major clash been averted, but OUATIMA too releases on a major holiday. The decision has been taken in the best interest of both films.”
It’s confirmed then, Chennai Express gets a solo release on August 8. Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again hits screens a week later on August 15.

Actually, clash is always a threat for the box-office collections of concerned movies.So, this clash might affect both the movies.A wise decision taken by Ekta.
Now, it should not be connected with the fan wars LIKE Akshay has postponed , because he is fearing and all that. In reality, it’s a wise decision , which will turn beneficial for both SRK and Akshay. And we should appreciate this humble decision of Akshay and Ekta.
Now, both films will get one complete week and that should be sufficient for them to collect desired numbers.

This is good news for skrians but bad news is for akkians because Satyagraha releases on 23rd Aug and ouatima is sandwiched between 2 big films.

Good decision by the team OUATIMA . It will be good for both the movies as both of them are grand releases and it is very much required for them to get solo releases . It is going to be the best month of the year for Bollywood as Satyagrah will be followed by these two . Three most anticipated movies in consecutive weeks .This August is going to be full entertaining.
A week later, Satyagraha is also releasing. OUATIMA caught between two biggies.

2. In case CE underperforms in week 1, it will benefit OUATIMA.

“OUATIMA” on 15th means Thakur’s passenger train is solo release now so the excuse of passenger train collection was less bcoz of clash is finished now and now thakur fans need to find new excuses.lol
One more thing that Akshay can do is that being in good terms with Ajay Devgn, he can make him postpone Satyagraha by one week. Moreover, Ajay Devgn is not in good terms with SRK, so he might be willing to postpone his film.
Ya its a good news. Even though I am an arduant SRK FAN I think its beneficial for both.
