Paresh Rawal’s Oh My God has collected Rs 4 crore nett, which is decent, considering the fact that the evening and night shows were affected by the India – Australia cricket match.
Also, people were well aware that Oh My God wasn’t an Akshay Kumar film, neither did it have a female lead or hit music.
The film has done well in the Mumbai circuit (especially Gujarat, which is a part of the Mumbai territory). Saturday and Sunday will be crucial, but business is likely to be affected tomorrow due to the crucial India – Pakistan T20 match.
The other release Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal is easily director Priyadarshan’s weakest film. It has film has collected Rs 1 crore nett on Day 1.

OMG! Oh My God a poor first day of around 3.75-4 crore nett. The film fared best in Gujarat when collections can be called average but elsewhere collections were low.
The film collected around 75-80 lakhs in Delhi/UP while collections in Mumbai may hit 1.50 crore nett due to decent collections in Gujarat. East and South did not perform at all and Central India markets were low as well giving a 55 lakhs nett combined total. East Punjab had a limited release in terms of screenings in Punjab so the film suffered in that market.
The film will have to show at least 25-30% on both Saturday and Sunday to give it a chance to put up a decent lifetime total.
oh my god showed great jump on saturday.collections are almost double from friday on many centers.the film will collect 7-8 crore on saturday.and advance booking for sunday,don’t be surprice if it collects 10 crores on sunday.the film will work for sure because of its great content.(according to addatoday)

After making 4 Crores on its opening day at the domestic box office, OMG Oh My God! saw a good growth on Day 2. The movie made an approx 5.35 Crores on its 1st Saturday at the box office.
The two day total of domestic box office collections is approximately 9.35 Crores. Even though the collections received a spike on Saturday it is still doubtful if the movie will have a good weekend. Reason being Day 1 box office collections and a crucial Cricket Match on Sunday. When it is Cricket v/s Bollywood, there really is no way that Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer OMG has a chance.
The best OMG Oh My God! will make in its 1st weekend is about 15 Crores. Tuesday being a holiday might do some benefit to OMG but it depends how well the trend is carried over.
If we look at the last 2 releases of Akshay Kumar, Joker and Rowdy Rathore one realizes that the box office collections are going down by the movie.
Rowdy Rathore was super hit with an opening day collection of 15.01 crores, Joker flopped with a 4.60 Crores opening and OMG as the term goes is “Bhagwaan Bharose” with just 4 Crores opening day collection. Opening weekend and week comparisons show a similar trend. Rowdy Rathore had made 48.05 Crores and 79.52 Crores on its opening weekend and week respectively. Joker couldn’t carry on the trend and made 15 Crores and 20 Crores on its opening weekend and week respectively. And OMG Oh My God! seems to have started on the lines of Joker. We sincerely hope it doesn’t become another Joke like Shirish Kunder’s Joker.
