Very few actors in the industry survive a decade, but only those with acting talent, charisma and fan-following manage to complete 2 and a half decades.
Ajay Devgn, who made his debut in ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ back in 1991, has completed 25 years in the industry today.
The actor tweeted “Against all odds. Still here. 25 years down the line. Only because of all ur love and support. Humbled.”
One of the few actors to win two National Awards – for his performance in Zakhm in 1998 and The Legend Of Bhagat Singh in 2003 – Ajay has also delivered outstanding performances in films like Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (where he played the iconic role of Sultan Mirza), Company, Khakee, Apaharan and several others.
Ajay is also popular in the Singham and Golmaal series of films.

@Faheem a Great actor can always be a superstar or once in his phase career attain that status but a Superstar is never compulsory to be a Great actor he can be popular but not a great actor ,a great actor requires guts and smackdowns!! So I would prefer the word Great Actor anytime. Its when you are called Megastar that you are indispensable.

Diljale too is a kind of movie that requires guts and balance of acting to do it. I don’t think Ajay was more than 22 year when he did Diljale even wearing beards at such tender age and his balance of comedy emotion action and music lip singing was too good.

No offense to Devgan, he is a class actor; but even national awards have politics; This year Ranveer deserved it not Big B(all respect to him)> In 2004 Saif got the award instead of SRK in Swadesh that too for Hum Tum LOL
And who does not have failures? All have failures, one-two underperformers of him and they bark on same, if I go on listing their idols failure everyone has had a bad phase, tom cruise, robert dinero, Salman Khan
By insulting two self made actors akki and srk, u insult struggle. Salman got a break coz his dad had so many industry clouts, same for Ajay. But SRK-Akki were poor, delhiwale struggled hard and came upto here, so much to idolize, But fans of Bhabijaan actors bark too much!!!

We only speak in the language they understand or you can say I am just showing them mirror if some one get offended by this then blame yourself first. About struggle and family connection, how many star kids have achieved the level of superstardom as Salman and classic act like Aamir ? Could you please explain why Abhishek Bacchan, Vivek Oberoi, Tushhar Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, Harman Baweja are not even half successful as Salman or Aamir or Hrithik ? It is easy to say they came because of family connection but how many survives due to their filmi families and how many make it to the top? Wash your face.
