Bollywood actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan features in one of the most awaited films of the year, “Dhoom 3”, he says he is not thinking about how many records it will break.
Reacting to reports stating that he has claimed that “Dhoom 3” will surpass the business of Shah Rukh Khan’s “Chennai Express”, Aamir said in a statement:”I am not interested in breaking records. I am an artist, and what gives me a high is to entertain my audience, to give them a good time, and to satisfy them emotionally.”
Aamir’s last release “Talaash” was appreciated for his performance, but the movie couldn’t mint too much moolah. The actor believes the challenge does not lie in building numbers at the box office, it lies in winning the audience’s adulation.
“I want to earn the love of my audience. That is what I am thirsty for. I like to challenge myself and do work that I have not done. I like to surprise my audience.These are the things that I am interested in,” said the versatile actor, who will be seen in a negative role in “Dhoom 3”.
Aamir has just returned to Mumbai after month-long training schedule in Australia where he had gone to learn a special dance form.
“Dhoom 3”,which is the third instalment of the Yash Raj Films’ franchise, also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Katrina Kaif. It will release on December 20th.

@deep. Madras cafe, RDB and lootera and even Lagaan were good scripts but it wasnt blockbusters. What happened to most hyped film Talaash script and trailer was awful. Dil Chahta and lagaan changed the course of the industry… His fan following may not be as huge as Salman and SRK but what works in his favour is that everytime he does a movie he gives something new for the audience and this timee too the hype is massive for the film as the audience wants to see his villain avatar… Thats why he is in the top 3… Look at his body of work dude and not the hits and flops… Everybody has their share of hits and flops.. @aks, the list which you have given regarding experimental movies of srk and aamir is incomplete. Yeah agreed few srk starrers experimental movies are flops like paheli, swades, ashoka, dil se. But why didn’t you include aamir’s flops like rakh(most criticaly aclaimed movie of the year), 1947 earth, andaz apna apna( best comedy movie of all era as per aamir sk fans), akele hum akele tum(one of the best movie of the year with chartbuster music). So aamir has also equal number of flops as srk in experimental work. And one more thing from your list, srk has a blockbuster in cdi whereas aamir has none. And raone was declared hit by the trades, so your personal verdict on that cant be considered. And one more thing i am a big fan of aamir’s diplomacy but not as a star. And regarding sachin and dhoni, then captain is as good as team. In dhoni’s team there are many match winners whereas sachin was one man army at his peak so is srk. Aur rahi baat worldcup ki then t20 worldcup was won by yuvi’s brilliance and odi worldcup was won by yuvi and sachin’s brilliance except the final. So its not only bcoz of dhoni. Similarly aamir’s 200 crs was due to the brilliance of raju hirani. Aamir is just a credit taker. In tzp he robbed the credits from amol gupte and in upcoming dhoom3 he will take away the credits even though dhoom franchise is well established by stylish hrithik. So aamir is a great credit taker.
