There were reports that Sanjay Dutt will be playing a prominent role in Salman Khan’s Sultan, but sources close to the film have confirmed that the news is not true. The role that Dutt was rumoured to play was of Salman’s mentor.
A source said “Salman never indicated that he wanted Sanjay Dutt to be in the film. There is no question of signing Sanjay Dutt
or anyone else until the leading lady is in place. For the film’s leading lady, a new face will be in place in the next two weeks”
The source also added “After that there are two important male characters to be cast. One of them would be that of Salman’s mentor. But no Sanjay Dutt. Isn’t he in prison? Salman will be launching a new girl. He already has someone in mind and has spoken to producer Adi Chopra and director Ali Abbas Zafar about it.”
Sultan has Salman Khan playing a professional wrestler. The film will be releasing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees during Eid next year.
Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra, Kriti Sanon were all rumoured to play Salman’s love interest in the film. Unfortunately, none of it is true. Salman is set to give the industry yet another new female face.

“I think Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will end the dry spell for Fox Star Studios as Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya have a 100 per cent track record and they are one of the most formidable teams. There is no reason to believe that the film will not do well at the Box-Office.
The trailer has been loved immensely. My expectations from the performance of the film at the Box-Office are sky high and I am confident that it will do more than Happy New Year on its opening day.”
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo a Hit?
The distributor of Mumbai Circuit, Rajesh Thadani says,
“Yes, I am pretty hopeful and definitely the dry run will end for Fox Star with Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. I am sure that the film will create new records and will probably be the highest grosser of the year and set benchmarks.”
Leading Distributor/Exhibitor Harsh Jain, Sanman Group says
“I think Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will break the myth that films produced by Fox Star Studios don’t work at the Box Office. I think Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will start breaking all the records from the first day itself. I predict a bumper opening for the film and I can see it run in the theatres for at least 4 weeks. I think the film will open above 40 crores and no one can predict how much the film will earn in its lifetime run.”
Leading Exhibitor, Prashant Solanki, Cine Park Valsad says,
“With a solo release and that too on Diwali, I have high hopes from PRDP and expecting a business of over Rs 300 crore.”
