Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has clarified on his earlier comment and said there is absolutely no intolerance in the country. The actor said, his ‘intolerance’ remark in an interview with Rajdeep Sardesai, was an advice to the future generation of the country.
“I never meant that it is happening now. I don’t think. I will be very clear.. everything is very nice in our country.. God bless India, long live us, long live us Indians. There is no problem and nobody has been intolerant towards me except when I smoke” SRK said.
Further clarifying his statement, Shah Rukh said his advice to the younger generation would be to not differentiate in the name of region, religion, caste, creed colour, sex or gender.
“I do not think there is intolerance.. the question that was asked, for which people pounced on me, was ‘what would you say to the future generation?’ because I now fall under the seniority zone.. Fifty per cent of our population is 25 now. If I can give any advice to them, then it would be to not differentiate in the name of region, religion, caste, colour, creed, sex or gender” Shah Rukh said.
The actor added that his comments are often misunderstood by people.
“I think we are on the cusp of modernisation and best of places a country can be.. We will, we can and we should be superpower. There are only small issues for young generation. I am not saying the generation which exists.. I am not saying right now we have intolerance.. I am not saying there is a problem, nowhere have I said anything which is wrong and having said that, the fact that every time I speak, things are misunderstood” SRK said.

I know whether there is intolerance or not… but what I was asked, because of which I was attacked from all quarters and which was debated so much, was what will I say to the future generations… as I am in the seniority zone now… not as senior as you are… but senior enough… so for modernness… for modern India, which is progressing every year… and since I travel across the world a lot, so I realise that our country is progressing a lot… and going towards modernity.

Nobody has shown any intolerant behaviour towards me… except for the time when I, except in front of people and they get offended…. Otherwise, even then they are tolerant… I know I make mistake (by smoking in public)… whatever I say… whatever I do… I have never said it anywhere. Nor will I say.

On a serious note. I don’t just like all these cheap political game being played now. I live in a neighborhood here in France where now to even go to get yourself a hotdog nearest stand you have over 15 cctv coming from only God knows. Strictly Indians south American and the afros. You don’t find such gadgets monitoring the pure whites there. Indias case for me is not even an issue to be taken that critical worst when King is about to release. I chat with my cousins in Ahmedabad Gj almost every day and know what’s going on. I just want to say let the two movies be out after that okay go on. Misconceptions lead to him doing the re clarification over and over not because he needs people to watch his movie. Bhajrang Bhaijaan collections signified not upto even 2% of the population watched it in.cinema so I am not worried about that aspect. No matter what King also have some little faults unconsciously which I hope henceforth precautions will be taken. Whatever he said it was true. There was lots of intolerance at that time for example killing of Muslim man in UP for a beef row. He said what he felt and was strong enough to said on national television. But what he said now is also true because there is no incidents happening which can show intolerance. All looks good now. Its a story of all minorities in India. Now people are being intolerant and boycotting the him because they are really dumb enough to believe the rumours. They always need a reason to show their intolerance against him and are always targetting him from past few years like banning his film in 2010, small political parties always attacking him for stupid and selfish reasons and few more.
I had openly supported him during his 1st comment on intolerance. But now I have realised that I did a big mistake by supporting this chameleon. The chameleon does not deserve my support at all!!!
