Sonam Kapoor is one such actress in B Town who is looked upon for her elegant yet high fashion sense. Surprisingly, during the launch of ‘Confessions of a Serial Dieter’ by Kalli Purie the 26-year-old actress said she is not very confident of donning a Bikini on-screen.
Before stepping into this glamorous Bollywood film industry, Sonam was not a thin girl. Looking at her now, it is hard to believe that the actress weighed 86 Kgs and was diabetic at the age of 19. But in her debut film Saawariya directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sonam was a surprise package.
When quizzed about wearing a bikini on-screen, Sonam said “I will never wear a bikini onscreen because I am not confident enough. I know that I will not look good. I am not comfortable in showing off my body. I may look thin but I am still a fat girl inside.”
The actress said she follows a strict diet and wears only certain colors of clothes and styles “It’s because of my work I am determined to stay in shape. In my profession there is a constant demand to look good with people watching you all the time. It’s my job to look good as there are people investing money in me. It’s also that I love clothes a lot and I just want to fit into them so I try and maintain my body.”
Her last release was the multi-starrer ‘Players’ opposite Abhishek Bachchan. The film tanked at the box-office. She will soon begin shooting for Raj Kumar Santoshi’s untitled project.
