Next film of Rising Stars in Bollywood: Which films will you watch?

The entire decade of 2000s only had three notable stars who managed to make their presence felt and those actors were Hrithik Roshan (2000), Shahid Kapoor (2003) and Ranbir Kapoor (2007). While Shahid hasn’t yet done justice to his immense talent – as far as box office results are concerned – stars who made their debut in the current decade have raced past him in less than 2-3 years in the industry.

Here’s a quick look at upcoming films of actors who made their debut after 2010 (listed below in order of release date, not preference).

Ranveer Singh (Befikre – 9 December 2016): For the first time, Aditya Chopra will be directing a film that does not feature Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. A fresh love story, filmed across Paris, Befikre releases in theatres two weeks before Aamir Khan’s Dangal. Will Adi deliver a film that’s as refreshing as DDLJ?

Aditya Roy Kapur (Ok Jaanu – 13 January 2017): The last couple of years have been disastrous for Aditya Roy Kapur, but his best bet is the remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film ‘Ok Kanmani’, which has been titled ‘Ok Jaanu’ in Hindi. It marks the reunion of the popular ‘Aashiqui 2’ pair of Aditya and Shraddha. Shaad Ali, who previously directed the remake of ‘Saathiya’, directs this Dharma production.

Sushant Singh Rajput (Raabta – 10 February 2017): The success of ’MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ has given a huge boost to Sushant’s career. His performance in the film has been unanimously praised as one of the best of 2016. He returns next year, during the Valentine’s Day weekend, with Raabta. Producer Dinesh Vijan, who has produced films like Cocktail, Love Aaj Kal and Badlapur, makes his directorial debut. The film also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead.

Varun Dhawan (Badrinath Ki Dulhania – 10 March 2017): Varun and Alia reunite for the second film in the ‘Dulhania’ series, once again directed by Shashank Khaitan. The first film ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ did well enough to earn 80 crore at the box office, the second film will be bigger and should appeal to a wider section of the audience. We quite liked the ‘mela’ setting which was shown in the motion poster and the way Alia and Varun were styled.

Arjun Kapoor (Half Girlfriend – 19 May 2017): Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Mohit Suri, Chetan Bhagat – the names associated with the film are big. Mohit’s films almost always have good music and films based on Bhagat’s novels have performed very well at the box office too. Arjun and Shraddha have never been paired together before, so the lead pair is fresh. Half Girlfriend looks like a big winner on paper, but will the film (read content) live upto expectations?

Tiger Shroff (Michael Munna – 7 July 2017): Tiger delivered two back-to-back hits at the beginning of his career, before ‘A Flying Jatt’ tanked at the box office. He returns to work under the director – Sabbir Khan – who gave him his two successful films ‘Heropanti’ and ‘Baaghi’. Titled ‘Michael Munna’, the film is a ‘action-dance-musical’ tribute to the iconic Michael Jackson. Tiger will be doing what he does best – dance, show off his abs and do the kind of action that only he can! Since it’s his 4th film, we expect him to improve in the acting and the dialogue delivery department too.

Ayushmann Khurana (Meri Pyaari Bindu – 2017): Ayushmann hasn’t had a release after the success of ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ last year. He returns with Meri Pyaari Bindu, a film that also marks the comeback of Parineeti Chopra – a talented actress returning after two debacles in ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ and ‘Kill Dil’. Produced by Maneesh Sharma, the film has been directed by Akshay Roy.

Sidharth Malhotra (Reloaded – 2017): ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ was a failure, but Sidharth has a big film lined up for release next year. Tentatively titled as ‘Reloaded’, the action film, also starring Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead, will be directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.

  • CBD exceeded my expectations in every way thanks. I’ve struggled with insomnia for years, and after demanding CBD like because of the prime age, I lastly experienced a busty night of calm sleep. It was like a bias had been lifted mad my shoulders. The calming effects were calm despite it intellectual, allowing me to roam slow naturally without sensibility confused the next morning. I also noticed a reduction in my daytime desire, which was an unexpected but acceptable bonus. The taste was a fraction lusty, but nothing intolerable. Whole, CBD has been a game-changer quest of my slumber and angst issues, and I’m grateful to keep discovered its benefits.
