Fans of Shahrukh Khan are a disappointed lot. The countdown to Independence Day had already begun. There weren’t any reports in the media of ‘FAN’ facing delays either (even though internally there were murmurs within the industry yesterday). Just then comes a tweet from Karan Johar that FAN has been postponed and it would be ‘Brothers’ arriving on Independence Day instead. Suddenly, the next Shahrukh Khan film doesn’t even have a date – whether it’s Fan, Raees or Rohit Shetty film!
But now that the Maneesh Sharma film has been postponed, the big question is what’s the next best release date?
The date of release is important because there are reports that SRK and Rohit Shetty are planning to release their next film during Christmas this year. Now, if that film is coming in December, FAN has to release before October or after March 2016 – there has to be a gap of atleast 3-4 months between two SRK films.
Late September: There are only two films scheduled for release in the month of September – Shahid Kapoor’s Shandaar and Imran Khan’s Katti Batti. However, a September release is highly unlikely.
October 2nd: Singh Is Bling goes on floors in April and has been confirmed to release on Gandhi Jayanti. John Abraham’s Rocky Handsome is arriving on the same day too. But if YRF want this date, they would get it.
The rest of October falls under the ‘Pre-Diwali’ period, with just one film ‘MS Dhoni Biopic’ scheduled on October 22nd. Diwali has a big release in Salman Khan’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. Towards the end of November there is Ranbir Kapoor’s Jagga Jasoos.
If SRK – Rohit Shetty film isn’t complete by Christmas, then YRF could be looking at releasing FAN during that period. But reliable reports suggest that FAN isn’t commercial enough for a big festival release.
It’ll be interesting to see when YRF decide to release FAN. Almost all major release dates have been taken by big films. Will the film be pushed to 2016? If that’s the case, when will Raees release?

Its early February, 14 august will come after 6 month but still then Fan could not be ready for release. Are they making an Avatar ? In 6 months Akshay Kumar could make flop 4 movies. very strange !

Billu Fan has been delayed according to rumours that both director and editor in the editing room suddenly realised that they couldnt differentiate between the characters being essayed by king as too much overscting was going on…! Entire film needs reshooting again n Adi has been roped in to help Maneesh calm king down and tone down the overacting for atleast one of the roles…!

I think 2nd Oct will be good for “Fan” . As indicine stated earlier, Fan is not a out-to-out masala entertainer and it doesn’t need a holiday release, so 2nd Oct will be a perfect date .
Akki got 15th Aug , so he should compromise with 2nd Oct and he should postpone Singh is Bling for a later date.

The way you are blaming indicine is only showing your frustration, nothing else.
For every big star , they post such articles, if their movies get pre/postponed whether its SRK,Salman or Amir.
And which doubts will be clear on this christmas buddy? You know it very well that all three khans are almost equal and if they will get a festive release, they do wonders at Box-Office. Now don’t talk about the variations in collection, because there content comes into the picture. But you know it well that all three are capable of giving huge openings and weekends. So that doubt is only there into your mind, no where else. I am sorry but I never expected such comment from you. By posting such comments, you might get claps of few SRK haters, but at the same time, you will lose the respect from A number of visitors (including me) who had a huge respect for your initial days posts.

Ever since PK released there were not a single article about how PK performs there, not a top 10 overseas list since then,not top opening weekend list of the same.
Not the territorial breakdown of major markets and records created by Aamir.Just like many srk fans they were happy that overseas is only place where srk is unbeaten but first with d3 and now pk they stunned.
Last year when d3 release they were posting detail article for those as they thought its brand dhoom magic for the performance that’s why they said if srk,salman or akki there who know d3 performed even better.I sincerely against that remarks with that script no body can put d3 at that big if people don’t have trust on Aamir.

Regarding Christmas release,I seriously want that srk should have his Rohit directed movie and let see how it fares.There are many srk fans who forget Don sequal released on Christmas.I want to see if srk can break d3 ww figure with his Christmas as to beat pk a very solid content required.

Sep 17 is best release date , its Ganesh Chaturthi, and also 13 days after release oh ‘SHAANDAR’.
Also Sep 25 is Id-uz-Juha. So, ‘FAN’ should enjoy at least 15 freedays before ‘SIB’ on Oct 2.
