  • omg m depressed dat Priyanka Chopra dint win the best actress title despite her tremendous performance in Mary kom….
bt m happy 4 kangana coz PC is happy

  • Come on guys, this is national awards, it is different from all others.
Jury always consider parallel movies which have some message or a social cause. They often simply ignore a movie if it’s super starer commercial success, whatever acting sequences it have.
Same time there should not be any songs, fights, and must have some silent, slow, dark scenes and plots

In my opinion, If we consider Acting, performance ,dedication, hard work, then ‘the best actor’ award should be go to Vikram for his fantastic performance in “I”.
But it never would be,cause film is commercial, mass masala, something illogical….

  • I’m shocked!!!! But not surprised.
Every Hirani’s movie get National Award Best Popular movie but this time didn’t get because controversial. If Hirani try to cut 3 scenes of PK movie then sure he get National Award Best Popular Movie for PK. Hirani make biggest mistake by not cut 3 scene because he gives 3 back to back Best Popular movie Award but fourth ruin by controversial. I think, hirani now realize his mistake.
Please, i’m nothing against pk movie. I love pk movie and already watch 3 times.

  • its funny that they want to distance them self from popular awards simply by avoiding popular heroes in awards what a logic lolzzz thats the reason srk and amir always ignored

  • @Saksham : That was a very good comment. I also think the same. God knows how/why the popular actors of B’town get ignored by National Awards despite giving giving some terrific performances where as Actresses are being awarded! If they can give PC and Vidya for Fashion and TDP, then whyn’t Hro for KMG,JA and Guzaarish or SRK for CDI,Swadesh or Shahid for Haider or Farhan for BMB?

  • Good to know that there are people who have read and grasped entire Bhagavad Gita learning everything about Hinduism.

(I hope they have also understood the fact that Hinduism doesn’t force you to believe in Gods. It’s more about karma/ *way of life* But yeah intellectuals surely know better about everything. ) With all the immense knowledge of Bhagvad Gita, they should surely protest against a hateful movie like PK which wants to connect all religions together. Blasphemy of utmost degree isn’t it?

  • @saksham: The Best Actor award was given to Vijay (who is a kannada actor) and the other Vijay is from Tamilnadu (Kollywood) the one known for massy films. Clear your misconceptions please!
And btw, do you even know how many states prevail in the South India and how many regional industries there are?

  • First of all, to @everyone, who are complaining regarding some of the Bollywood films being ignored! It is a National Award, not a bloody Commercialized Bollywood Award show, there are several other wonderful Regional Film Industries which makes some beautiful films that needs to be appreciated on a National Level. (Ofcourse, there are a lot of films apart from the Typical South Indian Masala movies). There aren’t only the Bollywood Films that needs to be recognized. For that, there are number of ‘Self Proclaimed’ Fair Awards. It’s the awards that we should be proud of rather than lambast it as it recognizes and gives the opportunity to hear about some other films that are appreciated which we could accept. Bollywood, just because of being a Dominant industry, is often treated or nurtured way above the films from these industries.

  • Kangana deserves all the praises, no doubt! Mary Kom was never supposed to win , but it did!
Unfortunate that PK was sidelined because of all the controversies that it got engulfed in.
Aamir was definitely in the reckoning for the Best Actor, but the Jury decided to give it to the Kannada Actor Vijay (Not the Tamil Actor ‘Vijay’ – whose films are remade in Hindi), coz this guy played a Transgender in the film and had one rave reviews.

  • For the guys who are confused regarding the ‘Vijay’ who has won the Best Actor award is the Actor from Kannada Film Industry and the Other ‘Vijay’ whose films are remade in Bollywood is from ‘Tamil Film Industry’. He can never win a National Award who always does Massy Films and can’t do a Serious film in his entire career, just like our BHAI :)

  • Vikram from ‘I’ would be in the reckoning only the next year since ‘I’ is a film that released in 2015 not 2014! :) So, fingers crossed, he would definitely compete for the Best Actor in 2016.

  • This is the true reason why I dont trust other filmfare n others awards ..because u can buy em like Queen khan buy each n every that we saw for happy new year ..Apparently happy new year swept away all the awards but when it comes to national awards so called Queen khan ka dor dor tak namonisaan nahin because its simple u cant buy it because its priceless it will be given to u when u do a real acting like mr devgan n kangana n shahid kapoor not OVER and PAKAU acthing like Queen khan ..!!

  • @sheheer : dont talk shit.. what do you mean by commercial success?? Is it because happy new year didnt get any awards ..let me tell u ask indicine or google up dabangg was given a national awards for its successful run and for its totally entertainment content ..

  • @ indicine, my predictions were almost 100% correct, i had predicted that haider will win national award for music, choreography, playback singer and dialogue. This is a tight slap on the organizers and the jury of FILMFARE awards where none of the above mentioned awards given to haider, even, it was not shortlisted for the respective categories, it was a shame that crap like KICK got best choreography award

  • @ sheheer, your point is not valid, masala and commercial films also get national awards. vidya balan got national award for dirty picture, saif ali khan got for hum tum, you have to consider the fact that national awards do not judge only hindi movies it covers entire films made in all languages in india.

  • @ gj007, in PK only hindu religious beliefs were challenged, i liked the film and its message, it was similar to OMG, my only point is why only hinduism was targeted, there are many beliefs in other religions why those were not targeted, i bet if that was shown then riots would have been unleashed and the film would have been banned, i think you remember salman rushdies sattanic verses and taslima nasreens lajja

  • @ Shail007, have you watched RAINCOAT, it starred ajay devgan and aishwarya bachchan, it was also released in same year as hum tum and swades, and ajay had given terrific performance in this film, if you have not watched that i advise you to watch that, srk had given his best performance in swades, still ajays was a notch higher, then we can also say that ajay should have been given national award for raincoat

  • I m very happy because Mr. vishal baradwaj again won national award for music(haider).
but film like pk( popular film award deserved) and ankhon dekhi (atlest jury mention award) deserved.
Mary kom, bhootnath returns not deserved.

  • this is idiotic… they didnt wanted to give most popular film to raju hirani for all his films…n also this gov is afraid of extrimist hindus…so they choose meri kom over amaizing pk….shame…

  • @ivan vaiba
I mean the national award for best film.not Popular film or regional best film.
If you look the hisyory of national award yoy will find 90% national award for best films goes to Non commercial movies.
You check and come,i am here

  • I think evry Indian Cinematic Awards ignore An Aamir Khan film.guys u gotta see thse from Life Ok BSSA PK didn’t gt evn not a single nomination, followed by Star Awards and in same way Filmfare Awards it hs nominated PK only in three categories and won only one, even Aamir couldn’t nominated! I’m not a Aamir fan but truely he deserved wht he do.

  • @baap of khan
I mean best film. not popular.
ok agree best acter or best actress awards given to commercial success movies also. But how many Bollywood films you can mention which got national award for best film ,also commercial success from a past twenty years.

yaa i know it consider all languages in India. I am from Kerala.
If you check you could find Malayalam movies and actors got national awards even more than Bollywood. Its not an exaggerated comment. You check…

  • national awards sucks too sometimes
shahid deserved to be the winner n haider/pk being the best film

  • PRADIP BISWAS, FILM SCHOLAR, THE INDIAN EXPRESS, CURATOR AND JURY MEMBER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL(IFFI) SAYS:
