Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, who has featured in two remakes, said that his proudest moment would be when someone would remake one of his original films. The actor was talking to reporters during the launch of Filmfare’s new magazine to celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema.
On his remakes
I did two iconic films – one is Dilip Kumar’s ‘Devdas’ and the other one is Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Don’. I never chose my films. Films and directors chose me. Sanjay Leela Bhansali told me ‘there is something in your eyes’ and then he asked me to do ‘Devdas’. Farhan Akhtar thought I could play the character of ‘Don’. But I am not thinking about remaking any film now.
On what would make him proud
Hopefully, a time will come when somebody will remake one of my original films and that will be a great achievement and proud moment for me

I had a marvellous time shooting for the photo shoot with Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan. I feel my life is complete now. When I was shooting with Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu, Saira ji came to me and said if she had a son he would have looked like me. They have seen so much in life and you can see that in their eyes. It’s a wonderful moment that they have given me.
Dilip Kumar, who couldn’t come for the launch of the magazine owing to health reasons, sent his best wishes through a message.

Sad News For Srk, Srkians and Red Chillies.
Juhi Chawla has told reporters that sadly after trying for 18 months to sell the remaking rights of Ra.one there have been no takers for the venture. Juhi:- “We at Red Chillies have been trying to recover our losses on this game sorry I meant movie Ra.one and we’ve been looking for a producer from all over the world to buy our movie of us. But sadly all the Renowned Filmi Industries of the world like Somalia, Niger, Bangladesh, Latvia, Greenland and North Korea have not been fooled sorry I meant convinced by our business plan. Its so sad that noone in India ie Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood, Lollywood and even Jollywood were not interested in Ra.one. We brought down our asking price from 100 cr to 1 crore then 50 lakhs but still no takers. Just seems like that the southern masala loving industries felt that there was way too many red chillies masala in Ra.one even for their liking. :-( I’ve told Shah Rukh about this latest setback and he is devastatingly upset and bordering on clinical depression. Please let us mourn in quiet and we will have more to say when Chennai Depress releases. Thank You.”

Do yourself a favour. Just shake off the grudge you hold against srk & try to watch his films with a neutral point of view. I know his recent movies Ra1, JTHJ has been totally worthless. Also some of his decent movies like DON 2 & MNIK failed to score big in the box office. But that doesn’t make him anything less than a superstar. Remember Salman Khan faced a bad phase too. So watch out your words might backfire!!
Btw I’m not a die hard srk fan. I just happen to watch & like his films from my childhood. My fav is HRo. Am sure this year top 3 movies will be Dhoom 3, Krrish 3, Chennai Express/ Mental (which ever gets a solo release)
