‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ has collected Rs 66 crore in its first weekend at the domestic box office. The film has also added Rs 21.95 crore to its collections from the overseas markets.
The worldwide gross collections of film including collections from dubbed regional versions like Tamil and Telugu, stands at Rs 118.24 crore – making it the second highest first weekend grosser, only behind Sultan (which is the only film this year to cross 200 crore in its first weekend itself).
‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ is also the only film apart from Sultan to record 3 consecutive 20 crore plus days this year. The only other film to cross 20 crore on a single day is Housefull 3 on its 3rd day (Sunday).
The worldwide ‘share’ of the film is around 45 crore, so ’MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ has already recovered a huge chunk of its investment in its first weekend itself.
