‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ has done well on its first weekday (Monday) at the domestic box office. The drop is bigger than expected, as there were expectations that it would hold on to 9-10 crore levels.
Since the interest to watch the film in the first weekend itself was so high, the drop is acceptable as long ’MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ shows normal drops on the remaining days in the week.
The film should cross the 90 crore mark (including all versions) by the end of its first week. The second weekend business will decide whether it can surpass films like ‘Rustom’ and ‘Airlift’ to become the second highest grosser of 2016 after Sultan.

In Hindi it is around 70 crs.
90 cr in Week 1 is far lower than my expectations. It should have been around 105 cr to become a huge grosser. Difficult to predict where will Dhoni go from now on after a brilliant start, Dusshera holidays will be a plus point but the let’s see how will it sustain. I am expecting 125 cr+

A drop of 65% is hugee,when the weekend figures were so high.Hence proved itz due to #MSD that the weekend collection were high as 66crs net.According to me the first week net of the movie will be 95 plus if it holds up at this level.In case that there is further drop it may end up at the level of #RUSTOM I.e 90-91 cr can be even low if drop is more.I.e around #AIRLIFT.BOI says its poor trend so the LBO should be 120 – 130 in best case I.e if it holds up at this level with normal drops.150 plus figure is out of reach now(it can be a 50/50 chance but it is looking hard in this scenario.

No Brother,it will cross 100 cr that too by the end of 2nd weekend.100cr is not a problem & it will surely get a Hit status by the end of its lifetime run.The main problem is the trend & the drop it faced in its first weekday(I.e Monday)!If it holds up well today & the rest weekdays (with normal drops)the lifetime figures will reach somewhere around 130 crores.
150 cr in the current scenario is looking out of reach(may be I m wrong).Let’s see in the coming days & 2nd weekend will give a more clear picture whether it will cross 150 cr & gets Super Hit status or not.
