Emraan Hashmi’s Mr X has collected Rs 4.5 crore on its opening day at the box office. The film that marked the return of Emraan to the Bhatt camp, opened poorly both at multiplexes and single-screens in the morning and failed to pick up towards the end of the day.
Due to such low numbers on Day 1, the film will have to show growth in the range of 50-60%, for it to have any chance of getting close to recovering costs.
The occupancy for morning shows on Saturday was again around 10-15%, which is about the same as Friday. It remains to be seen if Mr X will pick up at multiplexes for the evening and night shows.
IndicineFBO: We predicted Rs 4.2 crore as the first day collections of Mr X, which is yet another accurate prediction. Also, our prediction for the other release this weekend, Margarita With A Straw, was also accurate. The film has collected Rs 23 lakhs on Day 1.

Collections r decent enough because of huge negativity spread by critics..It is better film and not bad as haters n critics are making out to be…
U deny or not but is the best 3D film of India at the moment !.
It is still preferable over Huge disappointments like Tevar,Roy,, etc..

Mr x is rare kind of film made in bollywood which has this kind of plot n storyline… But u need perfect execution becoz in phase of hollywood, such kind of films may get huge ridiculism..
Mr x begins on usual note.. Some scenes r visually superb in 3D the scene where he gets burnt n looks like Voldemort.. U r reminded of hollywood in couple of scenes.. 3D effects keep coming at your eyes..
Invisible scenes r executed by complete perfection.. But i can’t simple understand the poor supporting cast of it…
Film is simply Emraan hashmi emraan hashmi and Emraan Hashmi !!!! .. He impresses u with good stubborn act….
Same can’t be said of amyra,arunoday n Tanmay bhatt of the great AIB FAME …
I m going with 5.5/10 for trying such brave idea when other actors r just giving crap disasters like Tevar.ROy which r routine films with masala…

commom chill guys it was not meant to be a slow classic… It entertains u with all the effects, vfx n 3D … Watch it for only Emraan Hashmi ‘s yet another stellar ‘invisible’ act !! ..
And as far as box-office is concerned it was expected to do the same as it is not backed by yrf dhrma etc…
Remember the 1st release of the year..Tevar .. What it did?? Inspite of aggressive marketing.. Chartbuster songs of salman fans..???
Whenever emraan films releases, u atleast have something new to look forward to..

When films like BV are itself inspired from Emraan Hashmi’s Ouatim – a guy dreams to becum mumbai’s king – u know bollywood is going nowhere..Just media n industry ppl trying to portray it as classic becoz of Kapoor son is attached to it.. Ddd inspired from znmd etc..
If u all think emraan hashmi career is over…
Then i bid goodbye to him..for always tryong out-of-box films..

His biggest USP has been his repulsive attitude towards Ads, commercialization.., Fake publicity., clear personal life image.. , dashing attitude…
His biggest negative has been his straight-forward attitude which did not go down well with industry.. Industry needs diplomatic persons who can shower fake praises…
Emraan is not like that , he admits everything bravely, which other actors hide selfishly.. Not a manipulative person like the bloody KAPOOR’s
indicine has to comment everything opposite of megha.. when i predicted flop for mrx it stays so… 4.5 cr is impossible figure for such films
I feel KARAN JOHAR is the final nail in the coffin of emraan hashmi career. His delayed film affected his stardom badly.
Alongwith films like EK THI DAYAN(which i personally like n its songs like yaram,lautungi,Kaali ankhen) n ghanchakkar which did not do any good..
