Arshad Warsi’s Mr. Joe B Carvalho failed to recreate the success of his last solo-release Jolly LLB at the domestic box office. The film made on a budget of around 15 crore, opened poorly and failed to pick up over the weekend.
Released in theatres on around 1025 screens, the film failed to compete with the 1975 classic Sholay 3D and was also affected by Dhoom 3’s record-breaking run. The film was out of most theatres in its second week.
Mr Joe B Carvalho is 2014’s first disaster, the film failed to recover even its marketing costs from theatrical business.
