UTV Motion Pictures has announced the release date of the industry’s most ambitious film to date, Mohenjo Daro directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. The film will release in theatres on Friday, January 22nd 2016, giving it two holidays (Sunday and Republic Day) in its first week.
The announcement of the release date also means that Hrithik Roshan will have no movie release in 2015. From the time he made his debut with Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai in 2000, Hrithik hasn’t had a release in year 2005, 2007, 2009 and now 2015.

Mohenjo Daro, starring Hrithik and newcomer Pooja Hegde, will be directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Emmy Award-winning international costume designer April Ferry has been signed to design the costumes for the entire cast. Oscar-winning music composer A.R. Rahman will compose the music.
The film, a love story set in the Indus Valley civilisation, will be jointly produced by Disney India’s Studio business and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions.
The first shooting schedule will begin in South Africa from October 2014, soon after the release of Bang Bang.

I have mixed feelings . I am happy because Mohenjo Daro will get a Republic Day release which has been lucky for Hrithik in 2012 with Agneepath . But i am feeling little bit sad as i will have to wait longer . But its fine . Because i remember after a fabulous year of 2006 when Hrithik gave 2 back to back blockbusters – Krrish and Dhoom 2 he had no release in 2007 . Then in 2008 Jodhaa Akbar came and was just awesome . It won lots of critical acclaim, audiences loved it and it was also successful at the Box Office and probably the only successful period movie in last two decades . I know the wait is longer but it will be worth it . After hearing this news my respect for Hrithik Roshan has increased much more . After doing successful and commercial movies like Agneepath, Krrish 3 and Bang Bang now this man is doing a movie which is very different, difficult and at the same time risky in all aspects but hats off to this man for doing a movie like Mohenjo Daro after doing a movie like Bang Bang . Both are different as Chalk and Cheese . Now i hope Hrithik’S 2 movies release in 2016 . This man is something special gives everything for a project . Amazing . Again gowarikar casted hritik in his movie coz last time he done mistake by casting hritik as king akbar coz our king was more suited for that akbar role and hritik was looking like a pawn who even dont have a horse to fight and gowarikar had given horse and made hritik king
