Mary Kom First Day Box Office Collections and Saturday update

Mary Kom has collected Rs 8.02 crore on its opening day at the box office. The film has fared very well at multiplexes, with the tax free status of the film helping in getting more audience to theatres.

Business in North and Central India was average, while circuits like Mysore, Mumbai, Bengal and Punjab performed pretty well.

On Saturday, the morning shows were slightly lower than Friday, but the film has picked up noon onwards. Depending on how well the multiplexes pick up towards the end of the day (late evening / night shows are the strongest on Saturday), the film could show decent growth in business on Saturday. Anything in the range of 10-15% will be good.

If the film manages to touch 30 crore over the weekend, it will be a decent success at the box office. Business on Monday and Tuesday will decide how big a grosser Mary Kom can go on to be.

  • @myamar: ofcourse,i must be the worst fan of hrithik as i tell the bitter truth. .what I feel, i tell openly. .i don’t think i also tell in a senseless way.

  • @ thullu first i watched krrish3 in parts cuz i feel it bore. i liked krrish and kmg both r entertaining but krrish 3 wait i m free today so i will watch it again and after i will tell u what kind of movie this is.
what u talking about k3 virus attack where it happened? we dnt need krrish kind of superhero and i m sure u never find this kind of super hero in ur real life. to face every problem we need a right thought which u can get easily from normal human. gandhi still alive if u believe in his thoughts.
@ nipun seriously i watched lootera and i liked the movie but i dnt think it is mastrpeice. i irritate u for loootera becuz others did same but main reason i bashed u cuz u calls me yuvraaj but my name is yuvraj. those who dnt know yuvraj is movie of vinod khanna thats y subhash ghai titled his anil kapoor starrer yuvraaj. my name is yuvraj call me yuvraj respect my name and take respect from me even if u r kid.

  • @ thullu
read my comment about stalin. there were perfect points y salman did the movie. why r u peoples talking about shirtless cuz ur heroes r caring their shirts in action scene thats y. salman did 1 or 2 shirtless scenes in movie it doesnt mean movie all about shirtless. i think u feeling hurt becuz i m nt praising k3 and bang bang dnt worry i will watch and if i feel positive i will tell as i m first salman fan who liked kites.

  • @BK Thullu, the story of K3 was not lifted from Hollywood movies but the characters were. E.g. Frogman, Kaal..My nephew was with me watching K3. He suddenly called Kaal as Professor Xavier…. You know what I mean…

As far as the story of K3 is concerned, I dare say that it was 50% inspired from Bollywood’s own movie ‘Azaan’ starring Sachin (the actor of Jackpot) and Tamil movie ‘7 Aum Arivu’ starring Surya and Shruti Hassan. I ask you to watch those movies with an open mind…

Yes, I agree to you. It is very sad that we don’t say Hollywood copies Bollywood movies when Hollywood movies happen to be similar with the movies made in Bollywood earlier.

Yes, I don’t like South Style Actions. I like sleek actions as in Awara Pagal Deewana, ETT, Kick, Don 2 etc…But why do u have problems with Salman’s shirtless scenes? His fans crave for those scenes..
Don’t you go gaga over Hrithik Shirtless Scene in the song Meherbaan? Why double standard? How many of today’s actors can say he is not inspired from Salman’s shirtless scenes? Even your Hrithik! He was trained by Salman Khan

@Nipun, K3 better than Kick? In which sense? You may think so. But I find K3 is boring apart from that it is a sequel of a successful super hero movies.

  • @anand: i am saying about technicality where k3 is better. In direction, screenplay, performances, script, editing k3 was better. Kick was better in music only. You can even see which movie was more critically acclaimed.

  • @Anand, no dfntly nt, Kick was awsm, sencetastic, apar of hollywoods avtaar, forget k3, k3 was crap kick is best movie of salman ever, or u want to say anything? L0l

well i saw lootera its nt my 1 of favrt still i would rate it 4/5 and i rate kick+jai ho combine rating 4/10 l0l usually i never rate Hr’s and Amir’s movies its no need to rate their movies in rating,
but strictly i rate D3 2/5 and K3 3.5/5 acc. To direction, story devolopement, concept,

well abt Holiday, its my favrt till now frm dis year..
And i have no pbm to rate it 3.75/5, queen 3.5/5, mardani 3.25/5, highway 3.25/5, fugly 3.25/5 as my concern, holiday killed dis year.. Nt yet watchd MK.

  • @INDICINE : you cant expect collections to be good on monday. Though it will be a holiday in maharshtra and part of gujarat, these money churning states will not go to watch movies on that day as being ganpati visarjan.
