Mary Kom has collected Rs 8.02 crore on its opening day at the box office. The film has fared very well at multiplexes, with the tax free status of the film helping in getting more audience to theatres.
Business in North and Central India was average, while circuits like Mysore, Mumbai, Bengal and Punjab performed pretty well.
On Saturday, the morning shows were slightly lower than Friday, but the film has picked up noon onwards. Depending on how well the multiplexes pick up towards the end of the day (late evening / night shows are the strongest on Saturday), the film could show decent growth in business on Saturday. Anything in the range of 10-15% will be good.
If the film manages to touch 30 crore over the weekend, it will be a decent success at the box office. Business on Monday and Tuesday will decide how big a grosser Mary Kom can go on to be.

I hope Holiday 2 impresses u whenever it arrives..yes no doubt there were loopholes and flaws in the film,villain was a lousy one but still most people liked bcoz it was a gripping story except songs and sonakshi sinha scenes…and the result is also in the form of boxoffice collections..it is the second best trending film of the year after queen.

U can see his best films includes lootera,veer zaara,devdas,k3g etc. So no point forcing anyone…holiday has been liked by many..i wish holiday 2 will not disappoint him if it arrives!!!

Well it will be a hit thats for sure and Priyanka will walk away with all bollywood awards which she doesn’t deserve. Kangana in Queen is unmatchable. Since Kangana won’t attend any award functions she won’t get them but still she will surely get National award if they are fair. And then PC’s face will be a thing to watch ( award greedy actress).

Mary Kom will certainly cross 70 cr. But 3000 screen for woman oriented film is huge.

I think movie collected slightly less as it was tax free in some state, still the genre and woman centric factor the collection is encouraging.let’s see how much moolhah it will create I coming days as critics reviews is mixed, let’s see how will be the Monday as weekend looking between 27-30cr.

I think you sum up their rating and given 1.5,but yes Entertainment was a crap and I also rated it 1.5/5 but not agree with holiday.
@indicine so finally you get a chance to defend yourself for holiday review of your 2.5.An avg film like hansee to phases,hskd and ek villain get 4/5 but a well made film holiday 2.5, I agree that climax was illogical but still the movie deserves 3.5/5, if you rated above mentioned film 4star.
I think you are pretty much happier with police surprising behaviour as they weren’t interested to arrest Ritesh even they know he was culprit, but as the inspector was keen to take some problems to Did, so he didn’t care with other woman’s life, and in ek villain Ritesh wasn’t a healthier,powerful guy, he was a lower middle class guy. But its justified with admin and film got 4/5.Fantastic piece of work guys.

Watched Mary kom yesterday…most of the people commenting here have not seen the actyal movie I can say….somebody called it a complete rip off of million dollar baby….lol….I doubt if you have actually watched any of the two…
Mary kom is not a perfect biopic.much more on the lines of bmb.both Mary kom and bmb are commercial versions of the actual life stories of these two great sportspersons of India.
Coming to the movie….priyanka acts brilliantly and lives the character of Mary kom. The picturization of ziddi, opening scene, the boxing matches(except the last one) are brilliantlly done but some scenes are too dramatic specially the last boxing match and the sudden change of heart of Mary kom’s father.
Also why her husband told Mary about the condition of their son just before such a crucial match.he could have waited for the match to get over.also why does Mary accuses federation of being unfair to her because of her manipuri origins suddenly is unexplanatery.
All said but still such rare movies must be appreciated.
The story of a lady who has won world boxing championship 5 times facing so much of odds against her must reach out to everyone. There is a scene in the movie where a father is telling Mary kom that his daughter wants to become a boxer like Mary kom but fails to recognise that the lady with whom he is talking is Mary kom herself.
This is reality…even if she is sitting in a bus today 80 percent of the people will fail to recognise her. Forget that ask 10 random people on the road at leat 6 of them will not acknowledge who Mary kom is. This is the condition of a sportsperson who has won boxing championship title 5 times for this country.hope these situations will change after this movie.

@ nipun i dnt like k3 it doesnt means i hate hrithik it means i dnt like k3 type of movies and i havent seen queen and english winglish but i like just becuz hear its buisness higher second weekend than first it happened only with salman’s hahk. but i have to watch movie before including in my favourite. what is good thing in lootera worst movie than k3, boring, jai ho a movi talk about dirty politics and if u talking about collection tell me occupany of first day than calculate why collection is lesser cuz lower ticket rates, i accepted that b grade supporting cast and lots of action went wrong but still it was better movie. kick he fight against currupt social workers in robinhood style this is the theam but how can u understand u need jaadoo. dnt mind, kick is best movie cuz he came with social issue larger than love stories. i feel u need to look carefully realy help reached to needy poor people from social services ans no. social service is like a movie where lot of promotion amazing trailer but after watching movie total memory loss.
citics r human they have their own choice just like us. i found many critics r criticizing a movie on stars basis eg. if salman starrer they escape talking about story why? cuz its image of salman. get a life critics if u can not find scripts in his movie search on wikipedia. i m starting criticized critics cuz i thinks they r not working properly. noone critic talked about kick what i said. jai ho.

I liked Holiday very much. It is a Men’s movie. Movies must have cinematic liberties. They must not be related with real life unless the movie claims to be inspired from real life events..

Devi Lal becomes a Police at the end. It was his new job. Given his qualifications, fitness level and smartness in the movie, he got a job of high ranking police officer. Had it been your sarkar in his shoes, I wonder if he could have got a Constable job!!!

Recently i watched a hollywood film teenage mutant ninja turtles and i found some striking similarities between its basic plot and Krrish and K3’s plot..but it is very sad to see people not appreciating the work of an indian filmmaker and put false accusations on them of lifting scenes whereas they consider hollywood films as the ultimate masterpeaces!!!
