Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has said that he will begin shooting for his upcoming film ‘Manmarziyan’ in February this year.
“In ‘Manmarziyan’, I’m playing a Punjabi, so I’ve grown a beard for it. The film is going to start in February” said Ayushmann on the last day of the Khidkiyaan festival where he sang many of his hit songs.
“I’m shooting in Punjab for the first time. In ‘Vicky Donor’, he was a Punjabi from Delhi, but here he is a proper Punjabi. There is no ‘Dillipan’ in this, it has full ‘Punjabiyat’ in the film, and it is a proper romance from the soil of Punjab,” he added.
The film stars his ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ co-star Bhumi Pednekar, who has lost a lot of weight and will almost be unrecognisable in her next film. ‘Manmarziyan’ will be directed by Sameer Sharma, who had previously directed ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’.
It will be produced by ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ director Anand L. Rai. Music of the film will be composed by Amit Trivedi.

His last release DLKH was an amaizing film one of my favourite films of 2015 and i still think the film is underated.

Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana is one of the best directed movies.
i just loved its punjabi quirkiness
manmarziyan , most probably would be a small budget movie which will hit chord with its audience and will be a surprize hit lyk dum laga ke haisha
but sad part would be ayushman still won’t be a big star
ayushman in everyway has the potential to be one of 4-5 superstars , but the thing is no one cares hell about him
even @indicine in one of its q&a session ranked young stars and acc to them
1 ranbir kapoor (he deserved this status)
2 shahid kapoor (someone who has been around for 15 years and throughout career has got huge opportunities , if he would have had in him by now he would have been a bankable star atleast , sry to say the aamir khan inside him has ruined him)
3) ranveer singh (brilliant actor and dancer but his personality is very irritating , though he deserves to be second)
4)sushant singh rajput (brilliant actor , but not a star enough to carry a movie on his shoulders , lets see what happens after m.s dhoni)
5)varuun dhawan (in terms of popularity he can even take first spot , but yes he need to improve as an actor and the best part about him is he knows this , badlapur was a nice experiment ,for now a perfect mix of mass and class)
6) siddharth malhotra (non actor , avg dancer just looks has prevailed him honestly he will fade away the day dharma take their hand off him)
7) arjun kapoor (kuch bhi nahi iske pass , not even looks nxt sanjay kapoor)

sushant is a gud actor lyk shahid but before becoming a superstar he has to become a bankable star , i hope he knows this otherwise he too might see a same fate
tiger is damn hardworking , he knows his strenghths , yes he can’t act but with experience that will come (eg priyanka chopra wat a transformation , even deepika too)
ayushman might not become a huge supertsar lyk khans but his talent and his fearlees choice will make him do some extraordinary movie which modern india will appreciate
too me his approach is lyk srk , initially srk too did some offbeat roles which made his career , god knows something similar can happen to ayushmann too
