The other release this week, Manjhi The Mountain Man, has also underperformed in its first weekend at the box office. The film started low, did reasonably well on Saturday, but the growth on Sunday was limited as the Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer collected Rs 6.45 crore in its first weekend.
The film will collect around 10-11 crore in its first week at the box office. To recover costs, Manjhi had to collect around 20 crore at the box office. Unfortunately, the film hasn’t performed well in Manjhi’s home state Bihar, where it was declared tax free. It’s likely to finish with net box office collections of less than 15 crore.

nawaz acted very good in the movie but movie isn’t that good to call masterpeice. movie would be better if they make it more realastic.

Yesterday i went to a multiplex with my mom to see Manjhi on 3.15 PM and i was shocked to see the show was Housefull . I thought we will easily get tickets for Manjhi but i was completely wrong . I was also happy to see that the show was housefull because Nawaz completely deserves it . He is a phenomenal actor and i have great reviews about the movie and his performance . I hope this movie at least becomes Above Average . Dashrath Manjhi is one of the most Unsung Hero India has ever produced . Let’s hope that this movie becomes successful . salmir fans ranted a lot about good movies.and they too mocked huge against KING KHAN of not doing good films.
But the fact is that realistic movies never earned huge.unlike pk like unrealistic movies and bajrangi bhaijaan and carps like baahubali like hugely manipulated movies which can give huge entertainment can be a huge success.
If you really care about about class and Indians do really care about so called class,then make a heart touching story like manjhi ,then debate.
