Yet another song from ‘A Gentleman’ is out and it’s the final song before the theatrical release of the film this weekend. It’s an emotional love song titled ‘Laagi Na Choote’ featuring the lead couple Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez.
Sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghosal, the song has been composed by Sachin – Jigar.
The film itself hasn’t generated a lot of interest. The music album hasn’t worked, in fact nothing has really clicked after a decent theatrical trailer.
Check out the song:

Music Director: Sachin- Jigar

Why do most movies have ineffective marketing campaigns nowadays?
Nothing really works and pretty sure they spend a fortune on it.
Films made on a decent budget do not work these days if they don’t appeal to the family audience. Song promos like this may deter them from coming to the cinemas though- in the first place the movie looks like appealing solely to the youngsters in multiplexes – which doesn’t help either to sail the movie through.
Best of luck nevertheless to Sid and Jacq!

The Hollywood flick Annabelle Creation is the latest example that goes to prove what’s wrong the Indian movie promotions. It wasn’t even promoted in India and yet it is doing very well at Box office on path to cross 50 cr because people actually liked it. Too many appearances by movie stars everywhere kills the excitement and mystery surrounding the movie. So much money is wasted on promotions that mean nothing. Like Aamir said during D:3 interview, “Less is more”.
Annabelle worked because it is part of a huge series which itself has a cult following..
Everyone knew about it before release so there was no reason to promote it..
Many people didn’t feel like watching the movie after watching the trailer so they have released more promos
Nobody knew about its release except the Urban areas who prefer Hollywood over Bollywood anyway.
Best of luck
