Krrish 3 has collected Rs 23.5 crore on Sunday to take its 3-day weekend total to Rs 71.5 crore net. This includes business from Tamil and Telugu versions, that has contributed around 4.8 crore to the total.
A lot of people have asked us about the controversy around the box office collections of Krrish 3. Since every trade analyst and trade websites are quoting a different figure, most exhibitors have been strictly asked not to reveal figures by the distributors. So apart from the ‘official’ producer figures there is no other authentic source out there.
Also, for a film released on 4000+ screens (widest release ever for a Hindi film), how can any trade source track collections from a small town where the film has released, apart from the estimates provided by the distributors or producers?
Krrish 3 Weekend Collections (Hindi version + Regional version = All India Total)
- Day 1 Friday – 23.5 + 2 crore = 25.5 crore
- Day 2 Saturday – 21.15 + 1.3 crore = 22.45 crore
- Day 3 Sunday – 22 + 1.5 crore = 23.5 crore
- Weekend Total – 66.65 crore + 4.8 crore = 71.45 crore
Considering the fact that Krrish 3 released during the pre-diwali period, these are fantastic numbers. No other film has managed to collected 20 crore+ on the Diwali day. Comparisons with other films coming up right here on Indicine!

and one more thing.. i dont believe in BOI figures at all.. i have always maintained that stupid site is always partial towards a certain mr. aamir khan films.. Mark my words there will be 0 difference in there as well official figures in case of D3..
anyways my point is when movies of other stars release ppl start quoting BOI.. But where are they at time of K3?? If you havent checked yet let me tell you.. The difference between official figures and BOI.. in JUST 3 DAYS.. for krrish3 is rs 20 crores.. yes.. they say collections are 49.xx crs(for hindi version only).. it has been 3 days and no one is quoting BOI this time.. thats strange..
Anyways just want to say do not follow different sources for different movies.. BOI is always partial..

BOI telling 49 crore for weekend,such huge difference in collection, i don’t understand…….i thought bOI was the most trusted site, now i dont know which site gives the most accurate figures.

Preet Palace in Ludhiana, which has a capacity of 37,000, registered occupancy of 75,000 for the 1 pm show. That’s double the capacity. The movie is house full all over East Punjab.is chandigarh outside of punjab, u liar.

So if it does
30 crore Monday+ 20 crore Tuesday+ 15 crore Wednesday+ 10 crore Thursday
Then it will have 72.8+30+20+15+10=147.8 crore first week
Then it would need 80 crore to beat CE lifetime which is possible if
30 crore second weekend+15 crore third weekend+ 5 crore third weekend + 30 crore remaining weekdays = 80 crore
147.8 + 80 =227.8 crore…….beating Chennai Express lifetime.
Thus Krrish 3 will beat CE

How are you figures so different than what it says on Boxofficeindia. Previously your figures used to match theirs but ow there is a huge difference. According to you the weekend collection is 71cr and BOI says its 50cr. That is a difference of 21cr never seen that before.

So with no correct figures, producers will keep on manipulating. This is indeed very shameful. Such actions won’t stop krrish 3 from being a disaster.
It is khown to all that No sites will give 100% correct number, so 10% more or less is acceptable as distributer shows lees number to save tax, same producer shows more number to create buzz. Thats the reason ce lifetime collection acc to boxofficeindia 208cr, boxofficeindia prime magazine 218cr n producers 226cr, just 7 to 10% difference is common n acceptable. But for krish3 the 3days manipulation is 40%, where boxofficeindia show 49cr, boxofficeindia prime magazine show 52cr but producer shows 72.8cr which is unacceptable. Acc to boi k3 wrap up under 115cr but produer will show 175cr, its too much n unimaginable, all time diwali diastar..
@indicine now we want to beleive numbers whatever producers gives? In future all big movies will cross 300 cr according to producers numbers. Lests see if u follow same for other movies as we’ll. what happnd to outimd producers number. Did u accept it? We will stop commenting on box office related thread. If movie so good then y it need to exaggerate numbers. If exhibitors don’t allow to reveal the numbers then how come trade people gives falls numbers. Believe me 49cr by Boi is excellent numbers. Yesterday I checked BMS where accupency below 25% post afternoon at most of the center. Just recollect Fridays advance and compare it with Sundays advance and see diiffernce. Friday was almost 50-60 % throughout day and collection was 25 (according to u) and yesterday was average 30-40% but collection is similar to Friday.
