Initially announced for theatrical release on November 1st 2013, the release date of Krrish 3 was changed twice. About 3 months back, just before the unveiling of the theatrical trailer, Rakesh Roshan announced that the superhero film will release on 4th November.
But those distributing the film weren’t too happy with the film releasing on Monday. Sources close to the Roshans then said that the film will arrive on 3rd November, a date which was confirmed by quite a few people in the trade.
After a lot of meetings and confusion over the release date, Filmkraft has finally announced the final date of arrival – 1st November 2013 it will be.
Krrish 3 releases on a normal Friday (non-holiday) and two days before Diwali. Both the opening day and weekend records, currently held by Chennai Express, will be tough to beat. Even non-holiday records could prove to be difficult as the pre-Diwali period is considered to be dull business-wise.

@Babaji ka thullu ….dhoom 3 is not everybody’s film ,its only for young guys….while krrish 3 is a family entertainer…..n its theme is not complex as proved by its previous 2 installments which were huge blockbusters..of Indian cinema

People who are talking about WOM don’t know anything, as Krrish is a big commercial film and is relying on big numbers in its first weekend and 1st week itself!
Now that opening day is not a holiday, the film may not fetch a record for the weekend! but still have chances for a record single day (Monday) and even a record breaking 1st week is on the card!
Though lifetime record depends on centent more than anything!
But a/w if Krrish3 fails to break some records, either Dhoom3 or PK (coming before Kick and HNY) could hardly leave any record unbroken and then films like Kick or HNY coming later would have tough job to do!

According to them, this will help collect money from young kids from school or college who will get vacation long before November 1. So the right segment of the audience for whom the movie has been made can be attracted to the theaters on November 1. When the Diwalli will start, then they will experience more rush to the theaters as the elders will join with the kids that time. So from business point of view, it’s a good move. Breaking record on first day is unnecessary and Hrithik proved by Agneepath as well. So they have to look to the big picture rather than the simple first day collection. This will ensure the 300 crore club as well!!

The third instalment of the franchise will now hit the theatres on November 1.
Even superheroes have to bend to the will of film distributors sometimes.
The release date of Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish 3 has been brought forward three days and the film will now release on November 1 instead of November 4.
Rakesh Roshan made the decision after distributors insisted on a Friday release.
The filmmaker told Mirror, “Most distributors advised that I release my film on a Friday instead of Monday which I agreed to as November 1 also happens to be Dhanteras which is an auspicious date.”
Roshan Sr had earlier planned to release the film on Sunday, November 3, which is the day of Lakshmi Puja, but the date was pushed to Monday after the filmmaker was told that the public does not tend to flock to theatres that day.
“Any day would not prove beneficial if the film is not good. And it is after almost 10 years that Diwali is coming on a Sunday and my film will get a four day weekend with a Friday release and I am really happy about it,” Roshan Sr added.
Exhibitors have also welcomed the shift. Vishal Anand, Senior Vice President, Fun Cinemas, said, “The positives in releasing the film on November 1 is that it will have a clear weekend holiday run for the first four days increasing its potential to become the fastest hundred crore collection. If the film was to release on November 4 then the preceding days would have been working days.”
Trade analyst, Amod Mehra, said, “November 1 is a very good date and it is always nice to release on a normal Friday besides the date is followed by a long weekend which goes up to Tuesday.”
Also, ticket prices during the Diwali week are the highest during the year, a factor that benefits both the exhibitor and the producer.

i dont know babji ka thullu!!!!!! ur gyaan of prediction bit let me tell u bro,if the film release 4 nov diwali then its has less chance to collect more money since its releasing 2 days before so buzz will be high and so weekend will be big and so casshes will be big so my prediction k3 1st weekend will be around 85-90 cr and 1st week will be around 140 cr.

By releasing krrish 3 on monday, gives the movie a great chance of reaching 250 crore mark. It doesn’tmatter for krrish if its releases on 1st nov, 3rd nov or 4th nov…..it is going to be the most profitable movie of all time…though i agree it will be difficult to beat opening day record…..but i still feel krrish 3 has in it to break the opening day record without needing a holiday….,
