Produced by Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft, ‘Kites’ arguably the biggest film of 2009 stars Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori and Kangna Ranaut in lead roles. The action thriller sold at – hold your breath – Rupees 105 crores, is expected to take a mega opening at the box-office, smashing most previous BO records.
Kites marks Hrithik’s return to the big screen 18 months after the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Jodha Akbar. Can it break records set by Ghajini last year? We dont really know! A lot would depend on the pre-release hype and initial reviews.
