Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon Day 1 (Friday) Box Office Collections

Kapil Sharma’s debut film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ has exceeded all expectations on Day 1, as the film has collected around Rs 8 crore on its opening day at the box office.

The holiday for Bakrid has helped, but the opening still falls in the ‘excellent’ category as the opening is better than 90% of films released this year and is comparable to much bigger films like ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, ‘Phantom’ and even ‘Baby’. In fact, the opening is bigger than films like ‘Drishyam’, ‘Hero’ and ‘Piku’.

The popularity of Kapil Sharma worked big time on Friday, but the real test will come on Saturday and Sunday as the word-of-mouth will begin to positively or negatively impact business.

#IndicineFBO: We predicted Rs 4.5 crore as the opening day collections of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and our prediction was way off the mark. It’s possibly our worst prediction to date. Even though the promos and music didn’t quite work, we probably underestimated the fan-following that Kapil Sharma commands because of his stint on television. The late marketing push with major celebrities endorsing the film also helped.

  • It’s guaranteed Superhit..people r loving it..word of mouth is excellent and come on the trailer was so funny..music is a let down but doesn’t matter..Kapil Sharma just killed it..too hilarious

  • Oh! Biggest surprise…
Movie’s collections has exceeded all the expectations.
Lifetime will be above 45 crs.
If Singh is bling would not have released next week then the collections should have gone to near 55-60 crs.

  • That is the power of king Khan SRK…he asked every one to watch the movie and this is the result!!! Where as other Khan can’t even make his own production house hit!!!! Ie hero!!

  • It would be interesting to see how Kapil’s career takes off from here since he has been criticized for being able to impress when it comes to emotional and romantic scenes. But happy for Kapil. He has brought smile on the faces of the audience effortlessly.Wish him more luck

  • I said indicine’s prediction Iz too low .
It was promoted by many big stars like amitbh ,Akki on YouTube Nd on Twitter too .

    So it’s A HIT already I think .

  • Haha.. I was expecting 9 cr official but it even came 10cr + . This happens when you show your debut film to Shah Rukh Khan first. :D

  • Salman Khan promoted, sung for Hero, 1st day 6cr. Aamir Khan promoted Katti Batti, cried for it to fool people, 1st day 5cr while SRK just watched KKPK 1st as Kapil wanted & 1st day 10cr +. :D

  • Double than hero n Katti Batti, salman khan, Aamir khan ne apni Ga&%D ragad di poori ganaa galiya, ro liya phir bhi SRK NAAM HI KAAFI HAI .

  • Kapil Sharma is a star at least for now . Happy for him , without any godfather he made it big just like SRK. self made stars should be respected.

  • @syed Yaa that why Billy, asoka, one 2 Ka 4, always kabhi-2 were disasters. And jackpot also which screening srk attended.Lol.

Don’t try to give some others success to your favs. It all because of Kapil hardwork over the years, that cause even srk to be guest of KNWK 3-4 times till now. If knwk wasn’t a big show, I don’t think srk would went there to promote CE,HNY and ddlj success.

    Great start Kapil

  • @jay than acc. to your logic kapil is already a bigger star than ajay and ranbir as kkpk open better than bv and drishyam.

  • itz bcoz of eid factor..it was a partial holiday whoch helped it to grow by atleast 30% else opening would have been in the 5-6 cr range.
today collections will be around 5 to 6 cr
bdw um extremely dissappointed by bhag johnnys collections..dont know what went wrong..it was looking a decent film

  • Ha ha ha
SALMAN makes, promotes, advertises, and even announces freebeis to watch his production
    Verdict : disaster rofl

SRK sees the movie and asks his fan to watch Kapils movie.
Result : first day 8 Cr. Lol

Ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • SRK promoted it and hence the result. A single review of SRK worked big time, but there are other actors, so-called superstars, who tried their best to promote movies which didn’t work for them…
