KICK was rock steady on its first weekday at the box office with net box office collections of Rs 14.41 crore.
The film has collected more than what Chennai Express (Rs 12.62 cr) did on its first Monday last year and about the same as the second day business of Ek Tha Tiger in 2012.
The Salman Khan starrer has opened very well today too and should collect significantly more than what Ek That Tiger did on its Eid holiday (20 cr). The Ramadan period is over and today is a national holiday for Eid, so the film should put up record number in Muslim dominated centers.
Circuits like Mumbai and Nizam are going well today with occupancy as high as Friday at places. At most multiplexes tickets are selling at weekend prices which should also help the film put up good numbers.
Kick is likely to be the first blockbuster of the year and will be the highest grosser of 2014 today. It has also crossed the 100 cr mark.

the heroine opens her mouth with a good morning dad and the whole family of overacting actors descends on the lady describing her why she should get married..as if thats what women should be doing
enter our woody jat and the film goes helter skelter with the hero trying to show some spunk…falling flat in the process
the hero describes his spunk as some kick that he derives by acting like a schizo and leading a worthless life whch his pony tail papa endorses..MITHUN DUH in a role he should never have done
now all of a sudden there is a spurt of kick this kick that and all utterances about kick so that the viewer grasps the meaning of kick and starts to absorb the kickery
suddenly there is an item song..followed by some more mental behaviour by the director who intrioduces us to gnarling villain who succumbs to the first swat and heave shown by our hero..even before he could finish describing all the blue ed black yellow labels he had to feed the goons he kept…fellows who were already smashed to pumpkin
and lastly the masterartsman twirls and contorts his face to plast a the most perfect smile on the screen to be followed by the mandatory item finale
ho hum time to go back to the hot sun outside and get on to the rickshaw..
that your honour is what its all about..the question here is about the ego of the followers of this superstar..alas he has turned out to be a mere mortal
so they are sad..so what do they do..they bash up other sars and the the site owner pastes comparison for sll of them to slug it out…meanwhile putting up a silence and gosding the flagging horse with more whip to make it run faster..

Both K3 and Dhoom 2 are illogical films as well. Dhoom 2 defied several laws of physics, whereas K3 is a kalang in the name of a super hero films.

My review of KICK:
(SPOILARS ALART)
The film started with a great tone. Background music was loving. And beautiful Shaina seemed dissappointing. Then she met Himangshu, a super succesful cop. Then came Salman Khan in the flashback. The story flowed with him.
The film is highly unrealistic in some scenes. A scene where Salman was driving a autorikshaw, some goons tried to cut his throat, but his friends mustache half gone, complete shave but his skin is totally fresh, no blood bleeding!(2 same scene!)
This is for comedy? Ok, Salman can break his double sized goons bones with just one punch! And there are more, which I cant remember now.
Ofcourse there are entertaining scenes also. You will find Salman and Randeep drunk scene hilarious. But they are few to worth your watch.
Parformences:
Salman Khan was just irritating in comic scenes, but brilliant in serious and drama scenes. You can see him switching his parsona from Devi Lal to Chulbul Pande with ease, and try to notice his voice change, it was brilliant parformence.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is good, but his lough is copied from somewhere I can’t remember. However, his dialogue delivary is superb. A very good actor for sure.
And to me, Randeep was the best actor in the film. How he loughed, how he spoke, how he acted as drunk was excelint. Although people ie. Critics will not agree, because Nawaz is better actor then Randeep, they will blindly say Nawaz was terrific. But seriously you will find Randeep’s acting more convincing.
Jacquline was beautiful sometimes, and sometimes she looked bad because of her lips. These are those lips which makes me mad whenever I watch Lat Lag Gayi.
This film reminded me Dhoom 2 in some scenes. Abhishek says the officials that Hrithik has arrived in mumbai, started planning and working upon his plan, that scene is entirely copied. Just put Nawaz in Abhishek and Salman in Hrithik, you got Kick scene. Another scene was that Randeep runs after Salman and tries to shoot him on the street, when a bunch of children came between them. Remember the scene in Dhoom 2?
Last word:
I’ve read people and all the critics said that 2nd half is entertaining, but alas! Its 1st half was boring like Ek Tha Tiger 1st half, but 2nd half is nowhere near to ETT 2nd half. So, if I give ETT 3/5, Kick should be given 1/5. ETT was much much better than Kick.
Verdict:
This film will not cross 200cr in India. And it shouldn’t.

As of 11pm here- I read on BOI that Kick looks to have earned over 26 cr nett today but may not touch 30 as its Day 5…. They reckon it will be the first BlockBuster of 2014 and the fourth film to cross the 200 cr mark after 3 idiots, Koyla Express and Dhoom 3..,, thats a FACT so read n weep lungiwalas n especially mosquito fans coz Rohit never quite managed to fly his way into the 200 cr club with his third installment of papas home made movie…. nice try but no cigar..,,!

Action stunts in ek tha tiger were much better. Kick is just a joke on the name of salman. Action is just silly and least I can say is pathetic and hilarious.
