KICK was rock steady on its first weekday at the box office with net box office collections of Rs 14.41 crore.
The film has collected more than what Chennai Express (Rs 12.62 cr) did on its first Monday last year and about the same as the second day business of Ek Tha Tiger in 2012.
The Salman Khan starrer has opened very well today too and should collect significantly more than what Ek That Tiger did on its Eid holiday (20 cr). The Ramadan period is over and today is a national holiday for Eid, so the film should put up record number in Muslim dominated centers.
Circuits like Mumbai and Nizam are going well today with occupancy as high as Friday at places. At most multiplexes tickets are selling at weekend prices which should also help the film put up good numbers.
Kick is likely to be the first blockbuster of the year and will be the highest grosser of 2014 today. It has also crossed the 100 cr mark.

- Sunday – 30.18 cr
- Monday – 14.41 cr
- Total – 98.26 cr

Kick does’nt starts too well,there were some over the top comedy scenes,but still manages to held well in the first half,1st half belongs to comedy,though it is over the top but then comedy is always illogical …1st half ends well with few squences of DEVIL.
The film gets to another level in the 2nd half,there is action,thrill,drama,emotion n Nawaz…what else u want from a family entertainer!
Action is quite good and better than jai ho,dabangg n ready…
Overall 3.5/5 from me…

So indicine is again showing his double standard.. For other big movies like akshay starrer holiday, indicine gives their own boxoffice numbers, but now in order to save salman he is just going with official numbers so that it can add few more crores.. For kick they released their datas for first two days but due to lower collections of kick they started to release the official numbers so that their bhai salman’s status would safe.. Carry on indicine.. And today also the collection will be less than 30 crs, though i want it to cross atleast 35 crs so that bang bang and hny have to chase a higher number at the boxoffice..
@wap4, official figures are very close to the actuals. We also do not have enough sources to track films with wide single screen releases.
Hahahaha with 4400 screens,high ticket price than ce. Still collected just 2 cr more than ce. What happened to salman fans who were saying sick to be 1st 300 cr grosser. Forget dhoom 3 kick is struggling to cross Chennai Express which released in 800 screens less than kick with much lower ticket prices

@tiger Thanks buddy- my problem was as most us will know is that when you see a movie three times in 3 days then certain things dont look quite right as you initially thought. I dont like doing reviews as I aint a critic- if I did a review based upon how much entertained I was then most films will get 4 or 5 stars like Lungi Express, Ready, Rohit 3 or even K786 despite illogical scenes. I like entertaining movies so looking for loop holes and drawbacks detracts from my enjoyment of a film. I think critics who go in to watch a movie looking for things to criticise rather than enjoying themselves should just give away their tickets to freeloaders like ‘bhojouri babajee’ or poor struggling pornstars like ‘mega pirate megha’ who unfortunately cannot watch movies as regularly as the rest of us. Being a critic is a waste of time- one mans views shouldnt really matter so why so many critics pop up everyday is a joke.

Yes there are illogical scenes in KICK and the film is’nt flawless…agree with @nipun on some points like the placement of Jumme ki raat was very bad,but i would contradict with him on few other points…i think the action was quite good,it was’nt looking like Dabangg,singham,rowdy kind of action where goons are flying here n there..the hero is bound to win the contest,you can’t complain that he bashed nawaz’s guards and that too in a salman film,even in most h’wood films the hero is shown more powerful…
As I stated earlier, Kick is not gonna collect more than 20 cr making its 5 days total below or around 120 cr. Now what are you expecting Salman fans, that some miracle will happen and it will collect 180 cr in next 8 days, will break the records of Dhoom 3 and will cross 300 cr as well? Lol. Be ready for an another 100 cr film from your 100 cr queen (oops “King” !).

Honestly i Dnt think the film did justice…
The Spirit of the Original Kick was missing Here…. The blame goes to Chetan Bhagat who Edited the Original Screenplay into this one….
The Scene in in first half in which Hero’s Dad tells Heroine why he supports His son always is Missing…. That was one of the most imp scenes in film…. But it wasn’t there in This Remake…. That Sucked….
In the Original That little girl says – “There is no kick in fulfilling our own dreams… Real Kick is in fulfilling dreams of others”
That line makes Hero to rob diff people to help the kid…. Also because he finds KICK in robbing… But in This Remake Salman Robs just one person and his allies…. That Ruined the Main Kick spirit…
In the Original Brahmanandam & Ali were there… Ravi Teja played a brilliant game with them n used them to Rob in Malaysia…. Again this whole plot was removed…..
Kick hero khoon mein hona chahiye… sirf Naam mein nahi…..

Acting wise no one was near to their original counterparts… uts like that role was made for Ravi Teja…

Kick had good collection on monday. Lets see how it fares today and tomorrow. @babaji interesting thing on salman post you got all dislikes even you given positive review. Agree with you kick is good entertainer 3-3.5 is genuine rating. Watched Ett today again on max and must say all the action sequences from Salman’s intro to train action scene in london, and both scene in 2nd half, especially Salman’s jump in climax scene towards plane. All these scene in ETT was shoot well and kept thrilling in ETT which was missing in kick. But kick as overall is better film than Ett, but those action scenes expectation disappointed me. @navin hats off you had mentioned some brilliant points in your review. An honest and intelligent review.
