Salman Khan’s Kick has collected Rs 28.89 crore on its first Tuesday at the box office. The collections are record-breaking as the Eid holiday happened to fall on the 5th day of its release.
Last year, Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express opened on Eid and collected Rs 33.12 crore on its opening day. The year before, Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger collected Rs 20.64 crore and Bodyguard which also opened on Eid (2011) collected Rs 21.25 cr. Dabangg (2010) collected Rs 14.5 crore.
To sum it up, the 5th day business of Kick is double than Dabangg (2010), 35% more than the opening day of Bodyguard and 40% more than the Eid holiday of Ek Tha Tiger (6th day after release).
The Eid holiday business of Kick is only lower than Chennai Express, because the Shahrukh Khan starrer opened on that day.

@anand: there were some terrific things eg some of the stunts in 2nd half,nawaz acting,hooda n salman’s performance,jac’s beauty,some cinematography n music. .but after that,everything was flawed. I would have rated it atleast 3 if they atleast modified the story and screenplay. The way they manipulated the story, didn’t allow me to connect with the heart of the story.
Kickcontinued to perform good on its 6th Day i.e. 1st Wednesday. As per early estimates, the film collected approximately21 crores nett yesterday, taking its 6 Days total to 147.7 croresat the domestic box office.
