Khan’s growing stronger

Salman Khan held a private screening for his forthcoming film Marigold for his special friends. He also threw an impromptu party after the screening. The guest list of the Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding which dropped out few stars and many others of the bollywood film industry, has led to an industry polarization, with many favouring the Khan’s.

In circles where it really matters, the buzz is that Salman Khan’s renewed association with the other Khans (read Shah Rukh and Saif) only indicates that the actor is keen on strengthening his own circle. Not only that, a few other actors have intentions of being part of the Khan clan. Recently, when Salman Khan organised a private screening of his forthcoming film Marigold at the The Courthouse Hotel Karan Johar, Gauri Khan sans Shah Rukh, Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Shilpa Shetty, Bobby and Tanya Deol joined him, to cheer him on.

Interestingly, after the screening, Salman had an impromptu party at the hotel itself. The guests showered praises on Sallu for his extraordinary portrayal of a dance master who coaches a B-grade blonde actress for a desi film. Later the conversations veered to big banners, other releases of the year and making revolutionary films.

Our source says, “It’s extremely obvious that the otherwise detached Salman is making new friends these days. Also, he only works with producers he has known for years.”

Trade pundits further inform that Salman and his extended family have plans of making films in the coming year. Says Salman’s close friend, “Salman is extremely fond of the people who attended the screening. Being part of the film industry they are looking at profitable collaborations. A few producers like Ratan Jain and Rakesh Upadhaya were also present.”

When quizzed about it Siddharth Jain who is a part of the production team of Marigold says, “Yes, Salman had a special screening for his close friends.”

We hear that the Bachchans are also holidaying in London but they are mostly on their own.
