Kabir Khan to direct Salman Khan’s KICK?

We were the first to report that Salman Khan’s KICK has been shelved as the actor wasn’t too happy with the script.

Now, after a disastrous start for Joker at the box-office, there are rumours in the industry that producer Sajid Nadiadwala has decided to replace Shirish Kunder from Kick. There is also news that, one of the names that is being discussed is director Kabir Khan, who has fulfilled his 3-film contract with Yashraj Films.

Some say, after the whole Joker episode, Salman isn’t too keen on working with Shirish.

The Shirish – Akshay saga

Despite having disowned the film, the failure of Joker will hurt Akshay. He had immense faith in Shirish, who promised to convert Joker into 3D and also promote it as a children’s film. Unfortunately, during the post-production stages, the director and the lead-star had a major fallout and Akshay decided to completely disassociate himself from the film.

That’s very unlike him. When Chandni Chowk To China failed at the box-office, Akshay stood firmly by his director Nikhil Advani and signed Patiala House.

The exact reason behind Akshay’s actions might remain a mystery, but as things stand today, Kunder’s arrogance has played a major role in his downfall.
