The release of Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil has been preponed by a day. The film will have ‘preview shows’ 6PM onwards on 25th January 2017, a move that sends a clear message that the Roshans are confident of their film.
It’s a good decision because the following day is a holiday for Republic Day and multiplex business does tend to peak a day before a big holiday (in normal circumstances, night shows on Saturday have very high occupancy because Sunday is a holiday).
However, it’s a move that could backfire too. If the content of ‘Kaabil’ isn’t upto the mark, ‘Raees’ will have a big advantage on Friday.
Rakesh Roshan took to Twitter to release the Telugu poster of the film and also announced the new release date.
“Experience the warmth of a beautiful love story called #Kaabil on 25th Jan” he tweeted.
Will the makers of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees also release their film on 25th January or will they stick to the Republic Day release?
Why srkian are giving such opinion(barking)???? have they seen the film yet??? who is insecure known from it. From the view point of budget Kaabil will be a hit easily.

Good move. Whatever potential loss on 26th from clash with Raees and the T20 match can be made up on the 25th evening. They will get more shows and theaters too. If the previews collections are added to first day, then it can be a very healthy total.
Have been watching Kabil trailer it will be a good film but Raees will flop, the previous trailer release was not at all impressive in any shape style or form. SRK is looking old and haggard and as one of his former fans who was so disgusted over his last two flops and no longer a fan says with all due respect he looks like a dried up prune.
His career is over even in DZ his performance was average and his presence could not even generate a 100 crore in a week. One must face facts he no longer rules in India and popularity overseas does not cut it.
Raees will be the biggest flop of his career after Fan and Dilwale. Reason he only has paper fans, they dont go to cinema to watch him, they stay at home and watch pirate copies. Not truly fans.
