I am a neutral fan who go to watch every other movie. But I like Hrithik a bit more than others. I watched Jai Ho yesterday. I have to say, overall, the movie was nice and left me with a good feeling. So, I have to say it is better than Salman’s recent movies that had less IQ except for ETT. People in the theatre also liked it.
If this movie does not become a Super Hit, then don’t blame Salman for churning out crap films in time to come. You have never given him chance to do good movies, example being Khamoshi and Phir Milengi.
@Salman fans, do not worry. Not every movie can become a BB. Life is about ups and downs. It will become a super hit in the long run I hope. You should consider that ticket price of Jai Ho were 30%-40% lower than that of CE and Dhoom3 on top of being non-festive and non-holiday release. Number of Screen Count doesn’t matter if it is a normal working day. There are many other factors that hit the business of Jai Ho.
@SRK fans, don’t celebrate for the fact that Jai Ho did not break any records. In stead, you guys should pray for HNY which is also masala flick. People should not celebrate someone’s under performance. If you do that, you may lose many neutral fans like me. By the way, JTHJ, Don 2, Ra.One and MNIK did not collect great, did they? And I pray HNY too become a BB.

Can’t believe Aajtak has just declared it a flop. It could make a negative impact on it, I didn’t expect this from a leading news channel like Aajtak. Its weekend collections are 2nd highest for a Salman film, and it has all the chances to cross 150 crore mark and beyond at the box office, which means a superhit verdict is still on the cards.
All of these 4 movies are ahead of Ra.One, JTHJ, Don 2 in terms of box office.
Infact even Barfi! is ahead of these SRK movies LOL
Salman Khan should not have thought of others by lowering ticket price by 40% comparing to CE and Dhoom3. In this society, Newton Law of Reaction for an Action. You were so good to do this. But do you know how people are after the numbers and neglecting your good deed? You should be selfish like other so-called stars. Even then, those who were to watch the film would still watch it.
Numbers of Screens in which Jai Ho was released is said to be 3800 Screens unlike what Taran Adarsh said to be 4300+ Screens. Releasing in more number of screens means audiences are getting shared in respective screens. It was for no good. Before the release of thi film, there were many issues against it and that prevented BO collections. It will still go on to collect 170 Crores..
Lungiwalas of Paglapur, to say in your own way of putting excuses, your Thakur’s film Crappy Express worked because of Rohit Shetty and Deepika Padukone. Look how much JTHJ, Don 2, Ra.One earned despite being festive releases. Believe in Karmaa…

Clearly it can be understood that Jai ho has underperformed big time . After 5 back to back blockbusters salman fans , media and trade were expecting a lot from Jai ho . This clearly shows movie has not been appreciated let’s how far it can go . I think salman fans are giving lame excuses about ticket prices but they are not seeing how large no. Of release Jai ho got . According to me Jai ho was a good movie but definitely could have been better . Salman S acting was good so was tabu s acting . But apart from that nothing was interesting . Sohail khan is an idiot who made a massy action movie instead of a social drama . Salman should have made this movie for content not for box office . Jai ho is a combination of good message and also against corruption . The last time i saw a brilliant social drama was Satyagraha which had fabulous content but could not be successful . Some salman fans will dislike my comment but this comment is fair and unbiased . so movies did fabulous business on Sunday so it is now 2nd highest weekend grosser for Salman’s. Great.
@rohit Aajtak show i also tuned but according to there sources Jai Ho weekend is 52cr, so one thing come in my mind and that was “jab collection hi inhe nahi pata to aage discussion konsa acha hoga” and immediately i changed the channel.

Factors for huge opening- Positive (Dhoom franchise, Aamir Khan, YRF Production, Katrina Kaif, Wonderful trailers,Hiked rates similar to K3 & Ce but high from rest of the biggies) Negative (music was launched late, minimal promotion,Flop Director Vijay Krishan Aacharya) but as generally those negative factors also works positively for film because Dhoom Macha Le song was loved my people and Malang music also appreciated.

film opening surprised all in the industry and trade as the movie was among top2 weekend grosser when it released and WOM also was positive for the movie.Biggest Surprise of the year as far as movie collected 188cr in lifetime while it was expected to collect 110-120cr.

Factors- Positive (Salman Khan, First movie after 13 month, Remake)
Negative:Poor Trailer, non-popular Director- Sohail Khan, Debutant Heroine- Daisy Shah,Poor Music,Lower Ticket rates compared to ce,d3,k3&yjhd,Promotion was good but it was average and controversial,impractical expection from jai ho like to beat D3 weekend or ce weekend records)
apart from a Salman Film everything was against this movie, heroine and her chemistry with Salman was poor, Music was not popular compared to other Salman Movies,Director Sohail Khan was not a trusted director,Excessive Action scenes and non-acceptance of mass films in Multiplex in current time.
So from this conclusion one think is crystal clear its a Myth that Only a popular actor can provide huge weekend alone, he definitely have major contribution but for great opening you also have some other factors too and one is popular Heroine with well made Trailer and Good music, In Jai Ho case only Salman factor was worked rest were not there, and Holiday was on Sunday so it not add any collection in those weekend, so practically movie was Non-Holiday release.
with all this factor associated still it was Salman stardom and postive wom who made movie to collect close to 60cr in 3 days. and it is Remarkable. So salman still is Biggest crowdpullar as despite having most factor against it was 6th highest weekend grosser of all time.

It’s good that the tickets are lower because it is a remake not original movie, just because CE or D3 were higher doesn’t matter, the audience would have been put off by it and not come but guess what they came in numbers

‘Jai ho’ should cross 100 crores in 1 week bcoz it is a good movie and reviews and word of mouth is also good so the next 4 days the collections should be above 10+ crores everyday.’Jai ho’ is a must watch movie for atleast 1 time and i will watch it tomorrow again.Jai ho.

My all time favourite salman movie is ETT. I am an SRK fan but always appreciate good films. I guess family is important but Sohail does bring Salman down a lot. I mean look at Veer. Classic movie but the Sohail just ruins the scenes he is in. Now as a director, i believe he has really messed around with a very good story that could have been an amazing movie.

Before Ghajini producers and actors are not open in media that they are Remaking a film,its come to know once movie released and than we came to know that it was a remake.movies like Devdas and Don announced as official remake because both was bollywood remakes. Srk’s production remade Billu which was released 2 month after Ghajini,but no one aware that was a remake until it released in theatre,same happen with wanted people came to know once promotion of it started that wanted is remake. It was Aamir who officially said once movie started to shoot that they are doing a south remake. And Ghajini was the most loved Remake movie which got appreciation of both critics and audience and went to become first movie in 100cr and ATBB,so he not made a poor remake while the best from south.Wanted,tere naam,bhoolbhulaiya and Singham huge got public appreciation.
Just watched AMERICAN HUSTULE…..look at hollywood they are making ”movies”…..brilliant…..and look at us we dont come out from ”collections”
