Some good news for Salman Khan fans. Jai Ho has picked up at the box office on Sunday, both at single-screens and multiplexes. While the single-screen business is around the same level as Friday (excellent), multiplexes have witnessed a huge jump in business almost everywhere.
The film is almost certain to cross the 20 crore mark, as almost every exhibitor that we spoke to, have said that the occupancy for evening and night shows was in the range of 80-85%.
Jai Ho has collected around Rs 34.25 crore in 2 days and should cross the 55 crore mark today. Monday will be extremely crucial, but the distributors of the film are confident that Jai Ho will hold up as the word-of-mouth is very positive.

- Friday – 17.5 crore
- Saturday – 16.75 crore
- Sunday – 20 crore+ (expected)

I wonder if it clicks at the box office.Jai Ho is full of loopholes.It’s a it fails tsocial satire or a noble attempt gone horribly wrong! It fails to deliver in almost every department :Direction,execution,editing,production value/design,performance etc etc.I would like to rate Jai Ho 3.5 out of 10.
wat the heck..i just want to mention if your are going to watch the movie in inox with royal class ticket at the cost of 140/-(am giving an example of bhubaneswar)…other cities multiplexes also lowered there prices..U know y..its coz salman urged the distributors not to hike the price so that every common man can c the movie n the movie tkt budget tkt should not go beyond them unkike D3 AND CE..and the collection is still 17 cr n also expected to be more than 20cr in sunday.. Do aamir ya srk will do this..they are all business peoples..still JAI HO is running packed house every where..its not abt collections now..its about keeping films within the reach of common man..

@ Hrithik srk non holiday was in 2010 mnik which collected 200crs in that year which is more then so called hits ghajani and readdy worldwide collections. though it doesn’t have single holiday like republic day and also the film banned in Maharashtra and Gujarat where the Hindi films more collection will come. after having all this going against it. it has collected 200crs which is the same range of salmans golden time hits like dabbang bodyguard which are the holiday releases. and more ever jai ho woldwid collection bhi 200 nahi chu sakta abb . and jai ho is not that great classic film its average film most.unbiased critic Rajive masand gave 2 out of 5 so people don’t believe that its a great film.

I am a neutral fan who go to watch every other movie. But I like Hrithik a bit more than others. I watched Jai Ho yesterday. I have to say, overall, the movie was nice and left me with a good feeling. So, I have to say it is better than Salman’s recent movies that had less IQ except for ETT. People in the theatre also liked it.
If this movie does not become a Super Hit, then don’t blame Salman for churning out crap films in time to come. You have never given him to do good movies, example being Khamoshi and Phir Milengi.
@Salman fans, do not worry. Not every movie can become a BB. Life is about ups and downs. It will become a super hit in the long run I hope. You should consider that ticket price of Jai Ho were 30%-40% lower than that of CE and Dhoom3 on top of being non-festive and non-holiday release. Number of Screen Count doesn’t matter if it is a normal working day. There are many other factors that hit the business of Jai Ho.
@SRK fans, don’t celebrate for the fact that Jai Ho did not break any records. In stead, you guys should pray for HNY which is also masala flick.
