Some good news for Salman Khan fans. Jai Ho has picked up at the box office on Sunday, both at single-screens and multiplexes. While the single-screen business is around the same level as Friday (excellent), multiplexes have witnessed a huge jump in business almost everywhere.
The film is almost certain to cross the 20 crore mark, as almost every exhibitor that we spoke to, have said that the occupancy for evening and night shows was in the range of 80-85%.
Jai Ho has collected around Rs 34.25 crore in 2 days and should cross the 55 crore mark today. Monday will be extremely crucial, but the distributors of the film are confident that Jai Ho will hold up as the word-of-mouth is very positive.

- Friday – 17.5 crore
- Saturday – 16.75 crore
- Sunday – 20 crore+ (expected)

More screens means more number of people watch film at same time.
But for record collection you need Hicked ticket price & which is not hicked for Jai Ho because Salman promised it.
If a film with avg. ticket price Rs.200 collect 34 crs in a day & if you reduce the same price to Rs.100 then the collection becomes 17 crs.
And for all those Salman one film Ready which was also a non holiday release collected 125 crs.
At this collection is crossed by 4 actors only once & by Aamir twice.

Watched ‘Jai ho’ today.It was a very good movie with a Great message and it was 1 of the best movie of Salman khan bcoz of its message.As i said earlier the collections r less compared to some recent movies bcoz there was just 1 reason to watch this movie and that was Salman khan but now after watching the movie i must say that now there r 2 reasons and the 2nd reason is the beautiful and inspiring message of the movie.Talking of records Salman’s last 5 blockbusters have made almost every record except biggest grosser of bollywood so its fine if he misses 1 time and currently all records belongs to my another favourite Aamir khan so i m happy.’Jai ho’ might have failed to break some records but this is a movie that has made Salman and his fans proud.Jai ho.

OMG What a film…. Wasnt expecting this… Well I read alot of reviews and so I had an idea what to expect but was blown away by the stellar performances of all the actors including bhai jaan who shone bright like the sun… I cant say much as do not want to spoil anyones enjoyment but truly this is Bhais first film in 3 yrs since D1 that is worthy of numerous viewings… PS ETT was good for 2-3 viewings but after that it became a drag. :-)

What a joke…
Everyone should not go in expecting action sequences to match or better ETT or Dhoom 3 but you will get better more realistic action as opposed to cartoonish RaRa Point One and Rohit 3 for sure… Real action and more believable than the rubbish we were fed in those latter movies…!
For me Jai Ho is just below ETT so 3.5 stars out of 5 is the best I can give it because music was too slow for me n not peppy enough as kids were with me so they lost interest at those points and the wife didnt like Daisy at all so I relent and knock off half a star for her.

Im alive and kicking and just watched the best movie of 2014 or likely to see until PK releases and you should do the same as otherwise when you watch CASH sequel this Diwali then you will be so depressed that you wont step inside theatres for 6 months or so so its likely you will miss PK therefore…! There are many factors that hindered Jai Ho from opening well. Stay positive! Wait for official confirmation!! Besides, I have somewhere learnt that Jai Ho was released only 3800 Screens in India unlike what Taran said to be 4300+ Screens..Can anybody confirm it?

The drawback of Jai ho is the emotion scenes are not connected with the audience, how can you expect the role of genelia to work with the audience?. How can army office come down in climax?? it looks so funny and childish… Jai Ho could have done wonders in collections if you have chosen a good director. Shame on haters who are comparing an Eid (holiday) release with 4 holidays (apart from weekend) with a non holiday release. Jai Ho hasn’t got a single holiday except regular weekends. Let srk release his movie on a non-holiday and will see what he does? There is nothing wrong with the movie but few factors are not against timing of its release. But I wont give excuses like srk fans, irrespective of whatever happens my loyalty, support and love for Salman will remain forever !!!!!!!!!

@hrithik, Salman khan and Aamir khan always have 3weeks of solo release unlike SRK who hardly has 6 open days every time or stuck with bad luck like bal thakery nuicense or on his death happend on sunday and it was closed all over the state which Jab tak hai jaan lost almost 20crores… Durin Rab ne banadi jodi – Mumbai bombings happend..bad luck…but still collected 88 crores. Only Ra-one was an exception but the movie was not liked by many but still crossed 100 crores. What I am aruging is by having 2-3 weeks of free run for almost 4 consecutive years,Salman khan stamina was only to reach 130-140crores by doing same kind of masala movies. But SRK did only one masala movie with only 6open days and crossed 220crores..this is called a true Superstar power!!. That too having Tamil dialouges without having sub-titles!!!
