Jai Ho Story

The makers of Sohail Khan’s Jai Ho have revealed the synopsis / story line of the film, which will release in theatres on January 24th 2014. The film is a remake of Telugu hit Stalin, the plot of which was inspired from American film Pay It Forward.

Jai (character played by Salman Khan), an upright common man is fighting a solitary war against corruption and injustice. Honest and incorruptible, he has made it his mission to help as many people as he can. Jai’s mantra is quite simple – help somebody and then request that person to lend a helping hand to somebody else – thus forming an ever growing circle of people helping each other.

In a strange twist of fate, he finds himself pitted against a powerful politician and his vile family. Jai who is an ex-army officer, will not shy away from a battle, however bloody it may get and firmly believes that you do not have to wear an uniform to serve your country. As the politician unleashes his violent goons on brave heart Jai, Geeta, Jai’s sister, realises the horrific consequences this can have on her brother and the rest of their family.

She persuades a reluctant Jai to make peace with the politician. But when this leads to humiliation being heaped on him, Jai loses his cool and declares all out war. It is an unequal war – on side stand the politician with his numerous henchmen and on one side is Jai – alone.

But unknown to him, a silent revolution is taking place. The voiceless public, he has helped in the past, is gathering force. It finally has a voice and this voice cannot…will not be silenced.

Because Jai Ho is the resounding sound of victory… Jai Ho is the warrior cry of someone determined to win at all cost.

Starring Salman Khan, Daisy Shah, Sana Khan, Tabu, Danny Denozgpa, Santosh Shukla, Ashmit Patel and several other actors, Jai Ho will be the biggest release of January 2014 and Salman’s first release in more than a year.

  • only one thing comes to my mind, jai ho! already in love with the concept. people’s man and that is one and only salman khan. he truely is the defination of people’s man. the concept of the movie revolves around people’s chain which will surely touch people’s heart and emotions. 6th consecutive blockbuster on its way for salman. a feat never achieved in the history of indian cinema.

  • wat is last chracter srk played rahul?even after 25 yrs he is rahul next gangster film also play rahul….srk is more dependent on masala films typical hero-herione film chennai exp…without help of strong lead herione is nothin….look at jai ho trailer herione not even showed lik typical srk masala…srk is big masala king holiday dependent superstar…

  • look here wat other star think b.o collections of jai ho trailer! Aamir fans-145-170crores,Akki fans-150-165 crs,Ajay fans-160-175 crs,Hritik fans-140-150 crs and last srk fans-35 crs-70crs crap masala not interstin lik chennai exp, duplicate, badshah, maya memsaab and we think good for any actor

  • Salman Khan’s forthcoming film Jai Ho which is directed by his brother Sohail Khan is a remake of A R Murugadoss’s 2006 Telugu film Stalin. What’s interesting is that even Stalin was inspired from Hollywood film Pay It Forward. It’s not surprising that B-town filmmakers take inspiration from West but ever heard of a trailer being aped? Well, the beginning of the Jai Ho trailer is a direct lift from the Hollywood flick Pay It Forward. In the Salman starrer trailer, the superstar is seen drawing a family tree of sorts and you get to see the same in Pay It Forward as well. The only difference is – in the Mimi Leder Hollywood flick a boy is seen doodling.

When a tabloid quizzed Sohail the about the uncanny resemblance between the trailer and the Hollywood flick, he sent a message, “I am only aware of Stalin and currently I am busy with the film’s post production.”

  • SK is nice man as well as nice human beinng atleast better then that monkey SRK. HR Salman Ajay aamir AB & Saif. these r the best bollywood actor in our bollywood

  • Plot is good, but there were many movies made with these theme. Bt i think this movie wil be more of a masala entertainer. A story like this should be treated with peace, non violence and not action.

  • Jai Ho is an official remake of Stalin (inspired by Pay It Forward and which, in turn, had been inspired by 1954 Magnificent Obsession). But it might have an improved and added screenplay. Besides, a character was added in the film: Sana Khan’s Character. In Stalin, there was no second lead heroine besides Trisha’s role. And there is nothing wrong in “PAYing (carrying) IT (This Noble Concept) FORWARD.” The makers of the Hollywood film have to deal first with the makers of Stalin, not those of Jai Ho, if they want to do anything.
The movie will rock because the Salman’s character in the film suits his offscreen image really well.

Hereby, I present before you the UnOfficial Remakes of Shah Rukh Khan, though rip off would be a better word to describe it as the original films were never officially credited and neither were the rights taken. Many of you would be surprised at certain names appearing in the list.
