After a decent weekend with business similar to Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2, weekdays were extremely crucial for Jai Ho. The film held up well on Monday, but Tuesday onwards almost every centre witnessed significant drop in business.
The Salman Khan starrer has collected around 87 crore in its first weekend and added around 29 crore (gross) from the overseas markets.
It remains to be seen if the film can go past Salman’s lowest grosser in the last 4 years – Ready which managed to collect Rs 120 crore in 2011.

BTW,jai ho deserved to be a hit/semi hit.not more than that.it’s a regular masala film of salman with a message in extra.but it lacks the masterpiece quality as it has poor direction,screenplay,illogical fighting.so it cann’t be called a quality film.but still,it’s better than last 5 films.
Dabbang deserved hit only.ready flop,body guard average,ett average,dabbang 2 flop.but all became bbs due to blind fan following and starpower of salman.now jai ho is getting justice. Good

To all those criticising Salman, its his first film that has under-performed in the last 4 years! And its not like the others are way ahead. Second highest grossers of SRK (JTHJ), Hrithik (Agneepath) and Ranbir (Barfi) is all in that range of 120 cr. Salman has been consistently delivering huge grossers, each of his last 3 films have been 140 cr+
the collections is not great because of various reasons as its ticket price is very low and january to march period is very crucial for any movie also it has huge disadvantages except salman.the movie do whatever business is only due to salman,s starpower other any big actor would struggle to cross 40cr in week one with this advantages.the movie will atleast hit sure if not superhit and that,s huge for it considering its disadvantages.jai ho.

In recent times (post 2010), Aamir had a taalash. Salman had a Jai Ho. Struggling to cross 100 cr in today’s times for these stars is inexcusable irrespective of the genre.
At the end of the day, its the consistency that matters if you’re termed a “superstar”. in that case, props to SRK who is on the verge of giving 10 back to back clean hits.

Jai ho cant get upto the mark…87 cr would have had to be weekend collection for a salman starrer…at the time of dhoom 3 Aamir cum salman fans rejoiced and thought jai ho would do the same but its all karma of salman…. They thought it’ll atleast beat CE, but afsos wasn’t able to do do that… let wait for kick…

Now Salman should thank to all other superstars that they didn’t release their movies with crap ho, or else jai ho would have struggled to cross 70 cr like k786. He got two complete open weeks, more than 4000 screens, everything was in his favour and what he got?? BABA JI KA THULLU…!!! LoL. Salman fans are going out of mind now, because before, if someone used to talk about substance, they told that substance doesn’t matter…movie should collect decent numbers on B.O. Now they can’t talk about numbers also ,as superstars like srk,amir , hrithik are eying for 300 cr, they crossed 200 cr long back. But our Salman is struggling within 100 cr only. Hahahaha.

Chennai Express 3 days col 101 cr … (dont count dhoom 3 as it has 1000 more screens,Hiked ticket prices,holiday period,dhoom brand,Christmas period is always good for overseas example dabbang 2) this clearly shows who the megastar of indian cinema is … One n only king SRK no one is even close to him n one thing more for loosers jai ho low ticket prices than dhoom 3 but not from Chennai Express that was a clever strategy from salman n her fans to save him but I have proof I still have the ticket for Chennai Express which has price rs390 but for the same show jai ho is rs 400 n dhoom 3 was rs 435

no doubt that it the most social movie ever made in bollywood…..there is not any extra clumsy scenes in it….for example no songs like lungi dance, no useless jokes,etc….its made to give a messages for society. Big thanks to Khan Brothers & Eros. Jai Ho aspires for lot & successes also.

Indicine bcuz they all had their advantages… Like eid holidays,3500 screens, 4 week free run ,hiked ticket prices at that time, no clash solo release, no death of bal takhery resulting in closed cinema… Gosh so many reasons otherwise they would have flopped just like flop ho… If JTHJ n Chennai Express had these advantages then their collection would be 200 cr, 300 cr respectively… Salman is not a superstar like SRK infact no one is dhoom3 advantagefull hit orherwise flop coz of huge budget

Mnik collected 74cr in 2010,that year Salman and Ajay are those actor who joined the 100cr club After Aamir,Ra1 grossed 100cr in 2011, before that Salman had 3 grosser in that list.its all happened to non festive release whether Talaash,jai ho you think failed. Genre are crucial if that wasn’t than Srk’s swades won’t be a flop while the same year he had MNH (hit) and Veer Zaara (super hit). In Jai ho case genre is not a factor but the poor trailer,excessive action scenes,poor music and a non glamorous Lead heroine were factor than those appearances. Taking about 10 clean hit,we don’t even understand the Reason to call Ra1 a hit in 2011, if Jai ho collect close to 120cr it will be a semi hit with budget of 75cr,while Ra1 budget was 135cr and collected 115 and i hit?don’t say worldwide gross of 240cr,because verdict given on Domestic performance. The D.S. of Ra1 was 60cr so i don’t get the reason of hit verdict.it should be below avg not even a avg.
Srk’s second highest movies is ra.one(125cr) 2 years back and movie is totally dismissed by cirtics ra.one got half star and jai ho got 4 star
