Welcome Back is enjoying a good run at the domestic box office, what with the first weekend business set to be similar to Akshay Kumar’s Brothers at around the 50 crore mark.
The major difference though is in the trends. While ‘Brothers’ and to an extent even ’ABCD 2′, failed to show huge gains over the weekend, Welcome Back has shown tremendous growth even at circuits where it did not open as well as others on Friday.
A lot would also depend on the response that ‘Hero’ gets at the box office next weekend, but if ‘Welcome Back’ holds strongly over the weekdays, the Anees Bazmee directed film could be in for long and successful run at the box office.
Last week’s release ‘Phantom’ has been completely crushed by the ‘Welcome Back’ wave all over the country. For the first time after the release of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, single screens and multiplexes across the country, from small to big, are performing well.

Welcome Back is awesome in first half but dull in second half. The climax makes you cringe. The movie is running due to 3 factors :

* Nana n Anil chemistry n hilarious lines
* Overall Entertainment in short paisa vasool
John is still not as big as Akki but yes Akki time is very bad the movies /franchise he left are doing pretty good compare to his own movies !!!!!! WB will be Sureshot Hit !!!!!!

I never expected a day will come that once promising superstar who was looking like weak but suprisied packaged contenders to fall the dynasty of the trimuti khans will one day be treated and demoted by the nazzar of other fans to the extent he is even being categorized among upcoming young stars. It’s his fault no amount of excuses of bad luck will wipe the fact that akshay kumar career is sinking drastically. He lacks that x factor that even Hritik and Ajay are sometimes lucky to get. I may not say lucky but once in a blue mood dhamakas @ box office. So many years gone by akshsy is allowing break through opportunities to slip away. He does 3 to 4 movies a year can’t he sit down concentrate on which particular movie he will pay more preference too and then dedicate himself fully into it be it the rest movies comes out average. Not that the movies budget is low nor no a-list actress nor well known directors nor good music chartbuster nor production brand has let him down but despite all these only 3 100 crs one 20 crs single day and continuity to still chase his RR records? Now His only saving grace is to aim for this year national award for his excellent movie baby to compensate his fans and his conscience. Realistically he has a very slim chance to win film fare award best actor so the national award even seems more Difficult because this year national with all indications is reserved and booked for 2 actors of his generation.definitely one of them is winning that. Am afraid but the reality again is that akshay should either resign from acting and concentrate with his money making business from other optional occupations aside from acting. He has had an illustrious career as a successful actor but No doubt he knows how to make money so adjusting away from b.town will not be an issue for him. Hope SIB can save him a little which I see very hard for that movie to touch 85 crs. Hop he proves me wrong.

I saw WB yesterday . It is a mediocre movie . Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar are absolutely superb and both of them make this movie what it is . They rise above the script . John is good in the movie and he never tries to do comedy and that makes him watchable . The screenplay should have been better . I don’t think Akki could have made a lot of difference in this movie . The script makes the difference . I think it will drop from today . The good thing about the movie is there is no vulgar comedy or cheap dialogues so family audiences are enjoying it . After a long time people are enjoying Comedy and that is good to see . The recall value of Welcome has worked big time . This movie can become the Highest Grosser of John . I think it will not do 100 CR . At the moment i think i will be wrong but this is my gut feeling . Let’s wait for the Monday Test !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
