Welcome Back is enjoying a good run at the domestic box office, what with the first weekend business set to be similar to Akshay Kumar’s Brothers at around the 50 crore mark.
The major difference though is in the trends. While ‘Brothers’ and to an extent even ’ABCD 2′, failed to show huge gains over the weekend, Welcome Back has shown tremendous growth even at circuits where it did not open as well as others on Friday.
A lot would also depend on the response that ‘Hero’ gets at the box office next weekend, but if ‘Welcome Back’ holds strongly over the weekdays, the Anees Bazmee directed film could be in for long and successful run at the box office.
Last week’s release ‘Phantom’ has been completely crushed by the ‘Welcome Back’ wave all over the country. For the first time after the release of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, single screens and multiplexes across the country, from small to big, are performing well.

Moment of silence for Akshay Kumar fans who spreaded negativity and said that Welcome Back will flop because Akki is not in the film. What a moment this is, even an actor like John Abraham has a bigger opening weekend than all Akshay Kumar films till date.
Lifetime Collection can be guessed by Monday collection only. if movie will not drop and will sustain well from monday as well then 110-120 cr lifetime is possible which is huge.
I think it will finish with a lifetime collection of 115 crore.

My octapus predicts a lifetime of 112 all things being equal. The movie is very watchable. Those who havnt watch it should do. Monday is crucial but my findings suggests 8-10.5 crores . I know Akshay kumars fans are going through a stressful weekend it’s understood. Don’t worry guys we are going to suprise every critics with SIB. Let’s give kudos to WB any criticism publicly will make us weaker and laughing stocks so let’s show them we don’t care and we trust our superstar to bounce back with a bang. Bole toh with a bang? baas.?
110-120cr seems about right…it’s not that great of a film to do 150cr & such films are front loaded (most business coming in 1st week)
