Bajrangi Bhaijaan has collected Rs 27.25 crore on its opening day at the box office, which is lower than our prediction of Rs 30.4 crore.
Since the film released on around 50-100 screens more than Salman’s last release ‘KICK’ (which also released during Ramadan), we expected his latest release to show 10% year-on-year growth as the average ticket prices were also about 10-12% higher than ‘Kick’.
The Day 1 footfalls of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was in fact a little lower than ‘Kick’, which could be due to the genre and lack of chartbuster songs.
We would still consider the prediction to be ‘fairly accurate’ (although not as accurate as we’d like it to be) as the difference between our prediction and the official collection of the film is around 10%.

If you can’t get too many good articles, it’s better you post less. You can’t post article like this just for the sake of posting one. You predicted first day collection 30cr on non-holiday (during Ramadan period). That’s your fault.
You couldnt even provide the collection of Saturday , and you are talking about footfalls? I know footfall requires much more indepth research. You cant just predict randomly and say footfall has decreased. Many visitors come here to know the accurate fact. May be you can do this analysis of comparision sometimes later. While people are returning home without getting the movie’s ticket, you cant post article using a term “below expectation”. It only misleads.
