Bajrangi Bhaijaan has collected Rs 27.25 crore on its opening day at the box office, which is lower than our prediction of Rs 30.4 crore.
Since the film released on around 50-100 screens more than Salman’s last release ‘KICK’ (which also released during Ramadan), we expected his latest release to show 10% year-on-year growth as the average ticket prices were also about 10-12% higher than ‘Kick’.
The Day 1 footfalls of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was in fact a little lower than ‘Kick’, which could be due to the genre and lack of chartbuster songs.
We would still consider the prediction to be ‘fairly accurate’ (although not as accurate as we’d like it to be) as the difference between our prediction and the official collection of the film is around 10%.

watched. Good movie. Emotional and classic one. But we have seen such kind of movie do not run in long run. Bajarangi has 2 weeks. Next Drish..m will replace maximum screen. hence even if film collection 185 cr in week one and 55 in second it will not reach to Dhoom3. Because to beat Dhoom3 needs 3 to 4 clear weeks. But anything above 250 crs is respectable. Its Salman Power
Pk is impossible to beat by any film in this decade even for Dangal. 721 crs worldwide….

We are happy with the collections because they real not manipulative unlike king’s multistarer hny.
Multistarer hny did 7cr manipulation to its 1st day collections(real- 38cr & fake 45cr). If BB did the same then colletions would have more than 34cr(27+7).
King yet to cross 15cr collections on non holidays but king fans are saying 27cr are less collections. It seems they think 15cr are more than 27cr…lol.

If 90cr budgeted BB bcm average with 210cr collections then 120cr budgeted multistarer hny was a disaster with 176cr collections…lol.

I m a huge fan of srk and neither i dont hate salman nor huge fan.But honestly i love bajrangi bhaijan very much because of its genre, theme, message, his innocence. I didn’t plan to watch bajrangi bhaijan but reviews and word of mouth forced me to do so.. Climax is little unrealistic, typically bollywood style but it works, force the moviegoers cry..
